(Worthy News) - Hate crimes against Jews in America rose by more than a third last year and accounted for 58 percent of all religion-based hate crimes, according to data released Tuesday by the FBI, even though Jews make up only some 2 percent of the population.

Overall, hate crimes increased by 17 percent in 2017, the data showed. with 7,175 hate crimes reported, up from 6,121 in 2016. Some of the increase may be because more police departments are reporting their hate crimes data to the FBI than ever before, 6 percent above the previous year.

The number of hate crimes based on religion is the second highest ever, behind only 2001 in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. The report noted a 23 percent increase in religion-based hate crimes in 2017 to 1,564, representing about 20 percent of all hate crimes. [ Source: Times of Israel (Read More...) ]

But, But, there are good people on both sides, says Trump after a white supremacist rally.

I thought he said "there were two groups that showed up". I hadn't read where he gave a support message to each group.

Almost every year the Jews have the highest per capita rate of hate crimes against them. This has always been a problem most ignore. The fact it is on the rise is more a spiritual reality than a political one. The days are getting darker. And Trump having Paula White as a spiritual adviser should be of concern to believers and not the conspiratorial twists of connection between his presidency and social upheavals, there is enough blame for that to spread around.

that was not a white supremacist rally....   it is true there were some there who were among the rally, and it was the other people at the really that the President was referring to...    not the white supremacists....

CNN just failed to mention that part.

The rally was hi-jacked by White Supremacists.  The people who bought the permit for the rally were not white supremacists.  The rally was to protest the removal of civil war statues.   It was Antifa that actually caused the problems and came into the area intending to pick a fight with their silly black masks and shields and throwing jars of urine and feces at rally goers.

CNN and other liberal abominations purposely avoided making the distinction between the original rally and the white supremacist that showed up after the rally was started.  Anyone who is opposed to the civil war statues being removed is now a "white supremacist" in liberal speak.

So, you agree with Trump that the people who were chanting about not being replaced by Jews had some fine people among them?

most of the people who were at that rally were not chanting those things.....   those are the people that CNN did not film, and did not show...     you are doing the same here by including everyone in that very large crowd as all W. S.

There was a relatively small number of W.S there and they came armed to fight....   there was also a small number of Black Clad folks with masks on that came to fight...    they fought and made it difficult for those of both sides to get anything across to anyone....

the W.S people are not conservatives and they are not accepted as Republicans by Republicans and those who try and say they are, are simply fake news.

Taking POTUS words out of context is not good. I think there were a few people there doing that and I dont think he was talking in particular about them.

He is criticized by the left no matter what he says or does. So much hate towards our POTUS it breaks my heart.
