As the title suggest whats a good place to start. Ive barely read any of the bible and i want to start. What do you suggest?

Read John's gospel, fourth New Testament book, a few minutes daily, unless you "feel like more", but pray to Jesus Christ to understand what you're reading, and to follow it.

I started with Job. I recommend it for frequent reading, thinking and praying over.

What is the one book of the Bible that the Bible itself references as being used by God to bring awareness of Jesus to a man?

Is it not found in the account of Philip ( in the Book of Acts ) with the command by God to go- and to find the Ethiopian of some esteem who was reading Isaiah without understanding? And did not Phillip then use the Isaiah account ( from Isaiah 53) to declare and reveal, at the will of God the Holy Spirit, Jesus to this man?

If so then how can anyone say you must or should read this book or that one first? God uses what God will use. Pray, ask God in prayer what will you have me to read? How will you help me to understand? Then think, read, and be praying about what is being read. Don't be afraid to ask  God to send to you a mentor, a disciple to help. God does not make every believer reinvent the wheel there is much that is excellent in the way of council, creed, confession, and catechisms.

As for myself I urge all that no one ever separate the old testament from the new testament thinking either stands by itself. The word of God is one reveal of Jesus to an unsaved world. It is to be shared, so that many will be found mature in the Lord at His return.

hahaha!  Boy you jumped straight into the deep end :)   I dearly love that book now but I couldn't make heads or tails of it for years.  I could never recommend it as a start point but that doesn't mean HE never would.

Fact is it truly is the Teacher who knows exactly where to start each of us individually.  His choice will always be best and tailored to the personality, call, and circumstance of each individual.  That's the  beauty of having God Himself as your personal tutor.  He has a tailor made curriculum perfectly matched to each individual student :)

Plus many a human tutor gifted by God the Holy Spirit to be teachers, monitors, and accountability partners.

Thanks and Amen from the peanut gallery here.

There must be others with their suggestions on first reads, so I had better swim for the wading end of the pool for a bit.

Gospel of John, it gets to the point and is the most spiritual of all the books.
