See? Hear? Know? Listen!..in that order, interesting.

@Yowm Could you please expound a bit on your thoughts here?

My 'nosy noggin' is wanting to hear more pertaining to this comment. ( Curiosity may 'kill the cat' but I don't think it's gonna harm the turtle. lol)

Simple. I was following the songs progression in it's order.

'Do you see what I see?' etc.

@Yowm I know this sounds goofy, but...

I started wondering if there was a double meaning there in the writing process of the song. Like the things (steps) a person goes through with their journey towards salvation.

For example:

SEE first...

"having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints" (Ephesians 1:18)

HEAR next:

"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17)

:blink:Wow. I read that back just now and it sounds like I'm over analyzing to find hidden meanings that are not there. A bit too imaginative perhaps.

THIS is what comes from having been up all night (my insomnia is not playing around!) I am getting quite groggy. Perhaps this is that state of mind we get into where we have dreams that make no sense?? (Most of mine are pretty kooky. lol)

Oh well. I posted this anyway to explain why I even asked the question. I see now how I just overlooked the obvious. You were simply pondering the sequence...Oops. Silly me. :blush2:

Yes, a bit imaginative but fun as long as you don't take it too serious since Carols are not on the par of Scripture lol.

@Yowm :emot-nod: I agree. My understanding is that only Handel's Messiah is straight scripture text (as far as I know.)
