This is more of what God says as to Lucifer`s sin of pride. `How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning....for you have said in your heart: "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the furthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the height of the clouds, I will be like the Most High." Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit.` (Isa. 14: 12 - 15) Marilyn. Yes it is the sin of Pride. But what precipitated this. In Ezk 28:15. Something happened from being a blameless created angel to a fallen angel. He was the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. (v.12) You were in the garden. Now Gen 1:26 - Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule.... Lucifer goes from a highly esteemed position to a lessor position in his eyes. Yes, Pride goes before the fall. Lucifer who was anointed and ordain as a guardian cherub took on an attribute that was not his to have. He became "Jealous" of man who was made a little lower than the angels (himself), and God walking and talking with them, him being the model of perfection. Ex 34:14 - Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. God wants to be first in everything. Lucifer took his eyes off God sometime after man was created. This is just how see it. In Christ Montana Marv

Selah Read Gen 1:31 - After the creation of man. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good; and there was evening and morning - the 6th day. 'In the beginning' Yes many leave the foundation of Scripture to claim a creation before Gen 1:1 but that is not in the Bible! The major theological problem with that besides that it is not in The Bible is God sanctifying death and rebellion on the seventh day...
