Am I wasting my time, I think everyone needs to study the bible more and be less concerned about work and money, you don't need to work full time to serve God, and you don't have to give a lot to charity or am I misunderstanding.

Tons of bad stuff there.....if only God could come up with a solution .....did the homo bashing preacher offer anything in the way of hope for all of these miserable sinners.....if he didn’t, what’s he good for? Did he warn them about the unforgivable sin? That would be dieing with an unrepented sin on your sin roster.

Are you saying that unrepentant and practicing gays will inherit the kingdom of God, as do the unrepentant willful sinners/evil-workers/Law-breakers mentioned in 1COR.6:9-10, GAL.5:19-21 and REV.21:7-8 & 22:14-15.?

Fyi, most mature Christians already know that salvation is solely by faith in Jesus Christ and not by doing the good works of the Law. OTOH, mature Christians who go and willfully or intentionally commit sins/evil-works/Law-breaking unrepentantly or ignorantly will very likely end up in the kingdom of hell/perdition/Satan. .......

Gays who repent can still be saved from hell through faith in Jesus Christ and thereafter they should stop practicing such sexual immorality, just like how the murderer Paul was saved by Jesus Christ and thereafter stopped murdering/persecuting Christians. Shouldn't we first try to find out what John 1 meant when he said it was a sermon "against gay people".  We might be jumping to conclusions here.  We are not in a war against flesh and blood.  If it was just a sermon warning and speaking the truth about the sin of homosexuality and offering homosexuals the way out, then good.....but if it was a sermon insulting and downtrodding homosexual PEOPLE, I do not believe that is the spirit and intent of the Lord and His gospel.  It would depend on what was said and the spirit behind it.

It is quite evident from his posts that he very likely believes unrepentant and practicing gays can still be saved from hell by faith in Jesus Christ. He is likely of the liberal/progressive camp who welcomes unreformed gays, lesbians, transgenders and maybe also other unrepentant willful sinners/evil-workers/Law-breakers in Church. .......

Wow—— and I thought the Tax Code was complicated ! Is this the kind of parsing the Pharisees performed back in Jesus day?

Homosexuality is a dreadful sin, no doubt about it. God hates it. He also hates liars .I think maybe I’ve told one or two lies in my life.How about you?

Any Homosexual person that has turned to God with the sincere cry “ God , have mercy on me , a sinner” will be justified and saved- just like the despised tax collector in the time of our Lord. “ turn to me and I will turn to you” applies to gays just like it applies to us liars. Let’s all praise God for His amazing grace!
