I've been learning about mollusks lately. Did you know that an oyster can consume about 50 gallons of water a day? It then pumps out (digests) clean water from the muck it took in. There are also these clams in Australia that grow up to a foot in diameter, which produces the biggest pearls, a little above the size of a golf ball - One of those pearls sold for $1.5 million last year. Just ONE. So many things people don't know or don't think about really are marvels, truly proof of the genius of our creator. It's just easier to focus on negative things, though. The fleeting time of life and the disillusionment brought on by sin and wickedness make such things easily missed. As for the topic, i'd say it's a matter of things feeling like they're progressing too quickly. There is progress to be made; nearly every product or rehash they put out on the shelves are pretty much the same thing. That, and true innovators are rarely ever supported. To quote Socrates, "There is no true genius without a touch of madness." You have crackpots out there with really strange ideas and experiments, but nearly almost all the time, those are the ones who make true progress, and just as well, nearly almost all of the time, nobody supports them in their pursuits. On the layman's side, you've got people that look at these phones and gizmos and think things are going too fast. On the other side, you've got uncreative and unimaginative scientists and techies who work for companies, who have a sole interent in monetary gain. Progress has always been a slow process due to these factors. Back then, it was peasants befuddled by the idea of a printing press, and kings hiring alchemists to try and produce gold or silver from lesser materials. Now almost anyone can pick up a book and read it, and alchemy paved the way for chemistry and herbology. That's a process that took years upon years, and just as it was then, so is it now. An object in motion stays in motion; progress will come, just as it always has.

I did not know that!! but isn't it extraordinary that an irritant (the sand inside the oyster shell) will eventually become a precious pearl! Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. — Matthew 13:45-46, King James Version Quote So many things people don't know or don't think about really are marvels, truly proof of the genius of our creator. 100%.
