Pray that these laws that legalize 3rd trimester and full term abortion are successfully overturned by the supreme court. I am very pro life, but also would opt for saving the mother if the choice had to be made. When in nursing school our physiology professor was pro-life and showed us ultrasounds of the baby trying to avoid instruments and being dismembered. It left nightmares. They certainly don't tell abortion candidates all the facts. Our prof. had already handed in her resignation or she would have been fired for showing it. There are a few people who do have psychosis when they are pregnant. One I knew became very paranoid. There was one in the 50s who took a shotgun to her husband and most of her large family. Three of the oldest escaped, one ran to a neighbor's farm for help and 911, and the largest managed to get the gun away from his mom. Their MD had warned them not to have more children. The dad was my dad's boss and I knew several cousins. Both of these women were in churches that prohibited birth control. However, these cases are far and few between, and th exception allowing abortions for mental health was badly abused. On the up side, one who had an abortion said "I don't know how God can ever forgive me for what I have done", and my son led her to the Lord. I would rather go against man than stand before my Heavenly Father who is HOLY and RIGHTEOUS and JUST and having to answer to HIM who sits on the THRONE and say I did nothing to stop this, and I approved of this wickedness on the day of Judgment. Let us remember, we are not to live according to man's laws and standards, but God's Laws. We have to stand up for what is right, and good. Hello Pinkbelt, Your argument that there needs to be a late term abortion because there is concern for the health of the mother DOES NOT STAND. Do you know why? Because nowadays with the advancement of medical technology, a baby can be born at 26 weeks gestation AND LIVE! Do you not see that this issue is not really about the danger to a mother's life but MURDERING A BABY? If a mother 's life is at risk, WHY NOT SIMPLY DELIVER THE BABY INSTEAD OF TERMINATING THE PREGNANCY? Are you a doctor? Not siding with anyone here. It is just that I like to get medical advice from a doctor. With that said. I did some research on this very interesting topic. My research for late term abortions say that they are very rare. Abortions after 24 weeks are less than one percent of all abortions.When they occur, it is usually because the fetus has been found to have a fatal condition that could not be detected earlier, such as a severe malformation of the brain. On a personal note. Facing something such as that I could not imagine what that would be like. With that said. I do not feel it would be right of me to force the choice that I would make onto everyone else. There for I feel this is a private matter between a women, God, her family and her doctor.
