What would Jesus have us do about this immigration crisis?  How can we have a country without borders, but are we turning our backs on orphans and widows.   Such a hard problem to know what to do.

Agreed, which is why there is so much disagreement surrounding the issue even within the body itself.  Welcome to worthy :)

Is it a crisis? Or is it a contrived problem easily resolved by men and women of good will that has been used instead to forment hatred of one another by satan's little antichrists among us today? All countries do have borders, but few have walled ones.

Christians are not to care for all the orphans nor all the widows, of the world. Christians are to care for their own widows and the orphans of their own fallen (deceased).

Christians are to go into all the world sharing the gospel of Jesus for the glory of God, and not stand behind structures designed to keep individuals in, nor out, of places.

All the history of walls has been pretty consistent. They end up being  the vehicle of defeat for the builder of them.

Most of us arnt against helping immigrants. In fact im all for it. I just dont believe in illegal immigration, as it doesn't help anyone except those in control.

Illegal immigrants come in, they dont pay taxes, so theres no money helping to pay for services they use such as roads.

The ones that work, do so under the table for half the cost of American workers, stealing jobs.

The ones that dont are often on welfare which puts more burden on our government and takes it from American citizens that actually need it.

They are dependent on the government, or whatever employers will hire them which means while their quality of life is better then where they came from, theyre effectively slaves, controlled by either the crooked government or crooked employers.

Cartels often smuggle in drugs, sex slaves and the like in with the refugees.

So yes i feel the wall needs to go up.

But i also feel we need to make it easier to come across legally. A lot easier. If we let them come across legally we can more effectively help them.

As legal citizens they can come and go places without fear of deportation. They can work the same jobs we all do, for far better pay.

They will pay taxes which would help pay for stuff like roads.

Wouldn't be dependent on crooked employers and the government.

Would also allow us to filter out the drug mules easier and perhaps even rescue some of the women in the sex trade. Anything to make it harder for human traffickers is a good thing if you ask me.

Conservatives arnt against helping refugees. Wed love to help them. But theres a difference between "helping" someone and helping someone effectively.

God wants us to obey the laws of the government. The only exception is when a law of the government forces us to disobey a command of God Acts 5:29. Illegal immigration is a sin. If they are here legally and obeying the laws if the United States that is another controversial issue. It seems ok to me.

You do not require the widows and orphans to be in your country to be able to give support for them.. Actually you can offer support for more people if they are kept out of your first world country.. Let me explain..

In a first world country with first world standards and costs, supporting a widow and an orphan with food housing and clothing can cost you near on 60,000 to 80,000 dollars per year..

But if that woman and orphan are in a refugee camp in lets say Northern Iraq you can support 10 widows and 10 orphans with housing food and clothing for 60,000 to 80,000 dollars a year..

So if your nation has a 6 billion dollar aid budget  it can either support 100,000 needy people in the USA or it can support 10 times that number 1 million people in third world countries..   Whats better? take in 100,000 and allow 900,000 to starve to death.. Or close the borders and not allow these dependent people to enter your first world nation?

I will give you the figures from the Australian government to house illegal immigrants offshore.. It costs $400,000 Australian dollars PER ILLEGAL Immigrant.. Which is in US dollars $286,170... Imagine how many people 286,170 dollars could support in a third world nation in a refugee camp? You could support in comfort 10 big families in a third world refugee camp for that kind of money..
