The Jews are eagerly awaiting their Messiah. Some of them believe their Messiah is already born.

A false Christ will arise. Christ means "anointed one." The unsaved will believe this fake Messiah is the anointed one.

Trust me.They already have what they want.

Already done, effectively (over 2 billion souls lost,  not laughing, over almost 2000 years).

The point im making is a man standing up and saying he is God is not going to cause desolation.

Jesus sais those in judea will flee when they see the aboinatuon that causes desolation. They wont even enter thier house to grab a shirt .

That kind of fear does not come from someone making an insane statement.

If a man claimed he was God ,would you run for fear of your life not even taking to time to grab a shirt?

https://biblehub.com/matthew/24-18.htm

Maybe you would.

Unless he's really a supernatural channel that Satan uses to destroy armies and to deceive the world with signs and wonders.

It's not just a man standing up making a claim.  It's what he's capable of doing in the presence of the beast.

The abomination is his claim to be God.  The desolation is his attack on the Jews and the saints per Rev 12 & 13.

  • Abomination = תּוֹעֵבָה = [tō·ā·vä'] = "something disgusting to holy God"
  • Desolation = שָׁמֵם = [shä·mām'] = "to be astonished as in 'silenced'; to be laid waste]

So, if you put together pieces of Matthew, Daniel, and 2 Thessalonians, there is going to be something vile and disgusting before God, something that is so profoundly insulting to God that happens in a future Temple that it will cause God's people to be appalled, silenced, shocked, and ready to flee.  In fact, Jesus tells them when they see that they are to flee. [Matthew 24; Luke 21].

This was partially fulfilled between Daniel's time and before Jesus' time with the King of the North = Syria = Antiochus.  He did fulfill prophecy by being married to the King of the South's [Egypt's] daughter.  And he did erect a statue of Zeus in the Temple and slaughter pigs there in sacrifice.  That's definitely an abomination!!  He is sort of the "type" of the Antichrist. [The Bible says that there are many antichrists, but only one "the" Antichrist.]

Prophecies do that a lot.  There is a near and partial fulfillment and a far and total fulfillment.

Who or what is the abomination of desolation?

  • Daniel says "on the wings of abominations comes one who makes desolate".  One - that's a person.
  • Jesus quotes Daniel on that and cites him, too.  [Matthew 24:15-16]  Jesus says, "it [or him] will be "standing in the holy place".  The only thing I can think of that can "stand" is a person or a statue or erected thing.
  • In Mark's citation of Jesus, Mark uses the words "the abomination of desolation standing where it ought not to be".  It - possibly an erected image of the Antichrist people are forced to worship - "given a spirit ….. and a mouth that boasts and speaks blasphemies".  [Revelation 13]
  • Daniel says, in 11:31-32, that the "prince" [Antichrist] has forces that will abolish the covenant that the Antichrist has made with God's people and will desecrate the Temple and "set up" the abomination of desolation and then it says, "HE" will corrupt those who do as he does, but the people of God will be strong.

The abomination of desolation is a person - a "he".  The Antichrist.  He will do something so profanely obscene to God's Temple and as Paul says in 2 Thessalonians 2, he will "take his seat in the Temple of God" meaning that he declares himself to BE God.

When this happens, the Jews are to "flee to the mountains."

If he can destroy armies by himself then why does his armed forces place the abomination that causes desolation?

Armed forces use weapons to cause desolation. This is common knowledge but you could ask someone in the armed forces what they would use if you want.

I know no one is going to say they would claim to be God and hope that would destroy thier enemies.

If the abomination of desolation were something inside of a building then how are those standing out in the field going to see it?

Who does destroy the enemy and all the evil forces of the enemy ?

He who is Righteous and True,  that's who.

Who do the blameless saints pray to  (in the Apocalypse)  earnestly crying to come quickly and EXECUTE HIS VENGEANCE/Destroy/  upon the enemy over all the earth, throughout history (shedding innocent blood since Abel)  ?

How do the Ekklesia(ONLY the Ekklesia)  see Jesus High and Lifted Up ?   And His Train Fills the Temple....

Isaiah 6:1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord ...

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple. New American Standard 1977 In the year of King Uzziah's death, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple.
