Perhaps you mean the end of an age or an era. We are very close to the end of the church age. Most people seem to believe we are entering into the Kingdom age where the Kingdoms of this world are becoming the Kingdom of God. This will prepare the way for Jesus to rule and reign for 1,000 years. People say we are suffering birth pains now as one age is ending and a new age is beginning soon. what do you do with 2 peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.[

In science there has been 6 extinctions. For example when the dinosaurs died off. In fact people do not realize we just had a major extinction at the end of the ice age around 14,000 years ago. At the end of every extinction there is always a remnant or 10% of the population to repopulate the earth. They call this a population explosion or expansion. The Bible begins with the earth in a state of ruin: "Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep". (Genesis 1:2) We also see these exact same words in Jeremiah 4:23 "I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light". We are told that this is the work of the Serpent, but Science and Evolution seems to have a different explanation. Jesus tells us that in the day of Noah the world was cleanses with water and there is a time to come when the world will be cleansed with fire. Science gives us a lot of evidence for the Bible. The first thing we teach our children is about Joshua and the battle of Jericho. This is more then a story. You can go to ancient Jericho today and the stones from the wall are still there on the ground. There is a lot of scientific evidence to show us how accurate and true the Bible is. Science does a very good job of gathering and collecting the evidence that God provides us with. There is evidence in things like geology, botany, archaeology. We can study the evidence for ourselves. We do not have to accept their story or their explanation for the natural evidence and the artifacts that they have to show us. Let me ask you a question Is it possible that God created man on an old world? you gave us a scripture Gen 1:2, but you didn't give the whole sculpture Gen 1:2 - Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Gen 1:9 - And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. We can conclude the earth was covered in water and God separated the water from land, based on genesis one We don't see God creating a new world, but we do see him creating a new man What would you say to that? Adam lived in the Garden of Eden around 6,000 years ago. He had the breath of life. This was the beginning of civilization when man became a food producer. I have studied a lot of the history and science of what this world was like before Adam and Eve. God wants us to know because we have artifacts and natural evidence like fossils and bones to study. Often the remains we find are in flood deposits.

Science and history is not fantasy. They are based on Evidence that God gives us to study because He wants us to know and gives us the ability to understand. Even our understanding is challenged in Job: "Now brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall inform Me. Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. Who fixed its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched a measuring line across it?…" (Job 38:3,4,5) If you want to know about the "foundation of the earth" then you are going to need to study a little bit of science for that understanding.
