Does God favor some people over others. Like people who have it all and people who don’t? Just curious, I’ve been thinking a lot and the question always pops up in my head when I think about issues in the world.

No.   But the poor,  He looks out for and protects.   The rich,  not so much.

God is no respecter of persons.  Jesus died for all.  Many people are very poor but are rich in faith.  Jesus said it was harder for a rich man to go to heaven that for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.

We need to seek for the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.  Our true riches are those given by God that have eternal value and cannot be destroyed here on earth.  They cannot be destroyed by hurricanes or financial crashes.

Are you asking this on your view of human favoritism? Humans are not fair. God is fair.

Do you think God has been unfair to you in some way?, Kenzie.

There are Bible statements that God plays no favorites.

There are Bible statements that God is active among people, for purposes, plans and testing.

Hi,

Perhaps a reading through of Job,  will help, decide for yourself.

As to issues of this world:  a read of Romans 12 might be of clarifying use.

Did God favor Job?

Did God favor Mary?

Did God favor a very poor woman a widow who gave Him all she had?

What is God's favor? Is it found in the riches of this world that will all burn away?

Hi Kenzi,

In cross-references of Acts 10:34-35, it's showing that God does not show partiality, or favoritism towards any. That being, why do some seem to get more 'blessings' that others? Such as material and/or financial gains? The Lord is sovereign. He gives as He wills, though some have made a public travesty of what they've been blessed with, like certain televised ministries, etc. Without going off-topic here sister, our precious Saviour will give unto you and abundantly so, according to your trust and faith in Him, and in Him alone. God bless!

Shalom,

David/BeauJangles
