I'm looking for an NIV Study Bible, Anglicised, single-column, cross-references near the spine, full colour. Such a thing simply does not exist. Woe is me! The one that comes nearest is the excellent Biblical Theology Study Bible by Zondervan. All boxes ticked except that it features American English. I wince when I see 'savior', 'rooster', 'center' etc. Ah well, I'm very patient. I'm prepared to wait....?

It is no excuse if a person does not think one is not perfect for them not to read the Bible. They all have the word of God. 2

But there's a trinity (if you'll pardon the expression) of things wrong with it: it isn't a study Bible, it isn't in colour, and it uses American English. I feel quite guilty now. I must come across as a horrible racist...

In the meantime why not use the dilemma as reason to select a nice new tablet computer, then online select Biblegateway.com NIV (Anglicized) set with one or more parallel Bibles, perhaps including the ESV, plus the NRSV Anglicized? Make it an Ipad or Ibook anything with ISO system from Mac and purchase Accordance by Oaktree Software. Actually it is now available for other operating systems as well. Open multiple windows and one can have Strong's Concordance or open at the same time or whatever references one may like to use. Use it next to an open Bible and you will have the right atmosphere including that nice bookworm odorous scent too.

Some of the words and spellings differ from American english and the uk. I found this on amazon, I hope it is what your looking for. Also Bible gateway has an online nivuk version, single column that you can read online if your interested, just click on nivuk and it will bring up that version for you. https://www.amazon.com/NIV-Zondervan-Study-Bible-Anglicised/dp/1473637783
