For myself, when this happens I will often play Christian songs with uplifting lyrics. It really helps to refocus and direct my mind upwards. ☝️ I thought it would be nice if we could personally share names of songs that have been helpful to us. We could discuss how a specific song has helped us or post the lyrics to that song so it can minister to others. Pass it on. ( P.S. I will start this thread off with encouraging lyrics in the next post.)

I will post it in the Christian videos forum. He didn't bring us this far to leave us Chorus He didn't bring us this far to leave us He didn't teach us to swim to let us drown He didn't build His home in us to move away He didn't lift us up to let us down There are some promises in a letter Written a long, long time ago They're not getting older, they're getting better Because He still wants us to know: Chorus He didn't bring us this far to leave us He didn't teach us to swim to let us drown He didn't build His home in us to move away He didn't lift us up to let us down (to let us down) He didn't lift us up to let us down I read those promises in His letter And now I claim them for my own Filling my heart and making life better And I just wanted you to know Chorus He didn't bring us this far to leave us He didn't teach us to swim to let us drown He didn't build His home in us to move away He didn't lift us up to let us down Never use the word defeat Claim His promises, every one of them And every spoken word He'll hear Because we're everything to Him Chorus He didn't bring us this far to leave us He didn't teach us to swim to let us drown He didn't build His home in us to move away He didn't lift us up to let us down He didn't lift us up to let us down "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Don't give in. Give it all to Him. 'Cause He cares so much more than you know When it seems who you really want to be Is someone you'll never become Just look how far you've come Though you failed at plans you've made Don't forget all the steps you've made He has brought you this far He can take you the rest of the way Don't give up. Don't give in. Give it all to Him. 'Cause He cares so much more than you know When it seems who you really want to be Is someone you'll never become Just look how far you've come I know it's not always easy (How far you've come) But don't you throw it all away (How far you've come) I know that He will take care of you everyday Don't give up. Don't give in. Give it all to Him. 'Cause He cares so much more than you know When it seems who you really want to be Is someone you'll never become Just look how far you've come 1
Guest In Him
Hi tt. We sing this song often where I go to church. By the time we get to the second stanza, I'm undone ie. as surrendered as i know. Praise His Name! I lift my hands To the coming King To the great I AM To You I sing For You're the One Who reigns within my heart! And I will serve no foreign god Nor any other treasure You are my heart’s desire Your Spirit without measure And to Your Name I will bring my sacrifice. I see what you mean about being undone. Worship songs are the best! For they glorify the Lord who alone is worthy and usher us into His presence.

Hear My Cry Hear my cry, Oh Lord, Attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth, Will I cry out to Thee. When my heart is overwhelmed, Lead me to the Rock, That is higher than I... That is higher than I... For Thou hast been, A shelter for me. And a strong tower, From the enemy. When my heart is overwhelmed, Lead me to the Rock, That is higher than I... That is higher than I... 1

And i thought, what could be more uplifting than to have God pick you up and carry you on his shoulders while he leads the way and does the work, and like a child, you just hold on to your father and trust him. Thinking of the shoulders, I found this song from a few years ago, it also has a very nice music video; Shoulders for KING & COUNTRY I look up to the mountains Does my strength come from the mountains? No, my strength comes from God Who made heaven, and earth, and the mountains When confusion's my companion And despair holds me for ransom I will feel no fear I know that You are near When I'm caught deep in the valley With chaos for my company I'll find my comfort here ‘Cause I know that You are near My help comes from You You're right here, pulling me through You carry my weakness, my sickness, my brokenness all on Your shoulders Your shoulders My help comes from You You are my rest, my rescue I don't have to see to believe that You're lifting me up on Your shoulders Your shoulders You mend what once was shattered And You turn my tears to laughter Your forgiveness is my fortress Oh Your mercy is relentless My help comes from You You're right here, pulling me through You carry my weakness, my sickness, my brokenness all on Your shoulders Your shoulders My help comes from You You are my rest, my rescue I don't have to see to believe that You're lifting me up on Your shoulders Your shoulders My help is from You Don't have to see it to believe it My help is from you Don't have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it's true My help is from You Don't have to see it to believe it My help is from you Don't have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it's true My help comes from You You're right here, pulling me through You carry my weakness, my sickness, my brokenness all on Your shoulders Your shoulders My help comes from You You are my rest, my rescue I don't have to see to believe that You're lifting me up on Your shoulders Your shoulders My help is from You Don't have to see it to believe it My help is from you Don't have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it's true My help is from You Don't have to see it to believe it My help is from you Don't have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it's true My help is from You Don't have to see it to believe it My help is from you Don't have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it's true My help is from You Don't have to see it to believe it My help is from you Don't have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it's true 1
