"Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him." Matt 2;2

"Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men." Phil 2:5-7.

Romans 15:8-9

Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a [a]servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers,  and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written:

“For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles,
And sing to Your name.”

If He came as a servant, are we not to follow His example? All of us?

Even the elders/shepherds? Or Is their a divine right to kingship for some to lord it over His heritage as despots?

  • Huh?  I don't get it. 1

The word pastor means shepherds.  All of us, especially our elders and pastors, should be servants.  They are to be role models;  as Paul even said, imitate me.

Matthew 20:28, even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Jesus came as a lamb for the slaughter.

Isaiah 53:7

He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.

and Acts 8:32

He was led as a sheep to the slaughter;
And as a lamb before its shearer is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
