Friend,  The book of Revelation of Jesus Christ, God gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John - Revelation 1:v.1 - and unto us, of course.   It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter (Prov.2:v.2KJV.). Anyone found that is still joined to Babylon will receive the plagues, whether they be Europeans, Chinese, Muslims, Hindu's or Christians.  Christ said that he would rather we be hot or cold and not lukewarm or else he will spew us out of his mouth, for we cannot serve two masters.

These two witnesses will be like Moses and Aaron sending the plagues on the beasts kingdom, and anyone still found in Babylon will receive her plagues.  Babylon is the world, the devils playground, a playground for sin and many will choose to stay under the shadow of the world for protection other than the shadow of the Lord.  Therefore all eyes will be on these two prophets, and what happened in the past with Egypt was only a snippet, of what's to come when now the plagues will be sent world-wide on all found in her (Babylon).

This is why we were warned;

 Revelation 18:2   And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

 Revelation 18:4   And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

The only Christians who will receive the plagues are those who prefer to stay under the shadow of the world by not separating themselves to go without and suffer for Christ's name.  Jerusalem will be the headquarters of the world, for this is where all the action will be when the FP sets up his headquarters and exalts himself ruling in that very same place.  And here is where he will be tormented by the power of God through his two annointed ones. All camera's will be on these two prophets who can command that the plagues be sent where-ever they send them which will be throughout the whole world.  And the whole world will hate them for this very reason.

You are mistaken about the "king of the North." For the most part, the king of the North was the ruler in the area of Syria. The King of the South was the king of Egypt.  During the 70th week the King of the North will be the Beast of Rev. 13.

More MYTH: it seems it is all you write. We are CLOSE to the time of the Apocalypse, but we are not there yet. Just so you know, there will be a progression:

1. The rapture of the church

2. The start of the Day of the Lord.

3. The start of the 70th week of Daniel

If by apocalypse you mean the 70th week, it is NOT COMING until two things happen: the church safely moved to heaven and the sealing of the 144,000.

WRONG AGAIN! Please, just follow the scriptures. The truth is, the Beast will not be revealed as to WHO he is until the man of sin enters the temple, and declared he is GOD. Then, and only then, will everyone know. Before this time, during the first half of the week, FEW if any will know. The covenant he will confirm will undoubtedly be done in secret. He will take down three of 10 kinds, leaving 7, either before the week begins or during the first half. The first beast of Rev. 13 will be the man of sin turned Beast - probably possessed by Satan Himself. The second Beast will be also called the False Prophet. HE will do the miracles, but only if he is near enough to the first Beast. Why? It seems Satan will be inside the first Beast. 

if God wanted us to know ahead of time, there would be NO SCRIPTURE about his "revealing." Think about it!

In accord the Word of God - Revelation / Apocalypse 13 -  the two periods of 42 months or 1.260 days has nothing to do with a "king  
of the north's armed forces occupying jerusalem for those 42 months" as you said in your post,  but only and only these two Beasts revealed by the Word of God. 

In my vision and understanding, there is no need to comment the Word of God on the above verses,  which alone explain themselves.

Get this straight in your thinking: John gives us 5 mentions of a 3 1/2 year period of time, two in days (1260 days), two in months (42 months) and one given in "times." EACH ONE OF THESE are for the last half of the week, NOT the first half. EACH ONE is for an event that will begin at ore near the midpoint and go to the end of the week.

The 42 months of trampling will begin just days before the midpoint, and go 42 months to just days before the 7th vial that ends the week.

The 1260 days of witnessing will begin just 3.5 days before the midpoint and go until just 3.5 days before the 7th vial that ends the week. They will then be killed and lay dead those 3.5 days. They will be raised on with all the rest of the Old Covenant saints at the 7th vial that ends the week.

The 1260 days of fleeing will begin just seconds after the exact midpoint of the week.

The 42 months of authority will begin some unknown time after the midpoint. His authority ends when Jesus returns. Jesus return will be some unknown time after the end of the week.

This is just so you can know the truth: the 42 months of trampling are because just days before the midpoint of the week, the man of sin with his Muslim  - I mean Gentile - armies will arrive in Jerusalem. He MUST arrive, because in a few days he will enter the temple and declare he is God. It will be his Muslim - I mean Gentile - armies that will then trample the city for 42 months. You do know this man of sin who will turn Beast will make Jerusalem his home for most of the last 42 months?

Therefore almost every point you made above is in error.
