God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, how about the martyrs ?

I'm not trying to become a stumbling stone to all of you by asking this question. I hope nobody will fall from faith to Jesus.

1 Cor 10:13 .... but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

How about the martyrs of Christ ? What way of escape given them ?

Their escape was death..

They where able to remain steadfast in their faith in the LORD Jesus unto death..

They where awesome Christians indeed...

The verse you quote can also be seen to talk about other kinds of temptations,, like other sins.. A person can be tempted to steal something but can resist that temptation and walk away without stealing the item..

I believe Paul was talking about escaping sin and the trouble it brings into our lives. As for the martyrs, life doesn't stop at death. We just pass onto the resurrection.

I agree with Jayne^. I always see this verse as meaning an escape from sin. As in nobody in the Body of Christ should have to die in their sin.
