I have a former student who is 21 now, a newly married,  and she has declared herself an atheist on Facebook.  She occasionally mocks the Bible.

How on earth could I hate her!!!!

My heart breaks for her and I pray for her often.  My desire is that she comes to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  [Her first name is Taylor, if you wouldn't mind praying for her.]

Mornin' Folks, So last night I was in chat and the topic of atheists came up. I was surprised by the number of people that stated that they "hated" them  some stating they "had no souls". Atheists are folks with hardened hearts, eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear. Basically they are folks who have not been sent the Holy Spirit and and brought into the light by our Lord. We, as believers, are disciples of God and it is our mission to help bring the word to people like these. So, I say we should not turn our faces away from atheists, but stand our ground and share the Lord's word with them. Be vigilant After all we are soldiers of God! Your thoughts?    JJ

I would agree with you, but sometimes these people can cause a lot of trouble, forcing us into defense mode.

Shalom brother

Truly written by one who belongs to the Kingdom. May Yahweh bless you richly for your heart for the lost!

Yes, I have also read such shocking, disparaging comments before about atheists, yet we were all like them at some stage. The Messiah certainly wouldn't have been impressed with such attitudes. Nor do I think those people would hold to those attitudes if Jesus was literally sat right next to them as they typed.

Alas, all words spoken or written will need to be accounted for one day.

May Yahweh afford you many opportunities to witness to the lost and fill you greatly with Wisdom, for His glory, in the name of our Lord Jesus. I'm sure He'll have exciting works planned for you with your soldier's heart.

Love & Shalom
