Hi Not me,

That is so encouraging and uplifting. I really appreciated reading that and meditating upon it.

Thanks, Marilyn.

Many thanks Marilyn and I’m glad it blessed you. May God bless you with Himself in a new and awesome way.  That your heart would be over flowing with the love of God to all.

A more excellent way, that reminded me of....

After speaking of the many spiritual gifts possible to believers, Paul wrote "and yet I show unto you a more excellent way." 1 Corinthians 12:31.  Then Paul continues with the famous love chapter, 1 Corinthians 13....the more excellent way.    We must always consider and allow these words about what love truly is to flow outward to others.   We can say or teach everything spiritual, but it means nothing without having the love of God for others.

It is so true, though we may speak with the tongue of Angels and know all mysteries without love we are nothing at all.  May God bless you also Debp with all His love and peace, that your countenance would be a living testimony to all.

Blessings

Much love in Christ to all, Not me

Hi Not me... Thanks for another excellent post.  I have been thinking all day about how BIG God's love is.  :)

I love the way this Psalm describes it:

Psalm 36:5-10 New International Version (NIV)

Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
    your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
    your justice like the great deep.
    You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.
How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
    People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house;
    you give them drink from your river of delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
    in your light we see light.

10 Continue your love to those who know you,
    your righteousness to the upright in heart.

......

How BIG is the love of God?  My lack of eloquence can only answer, "Big enough!" At any time, in any circumstance, it's big enough, with more than enough left over to share.

Such a wonderful verse and the truth that it brings forth. Yes God’s love is, is, is, how can one describe it? But with all the joy that knowing Him brings to the heart of man.

Blessings PromisesPromises!

May Christ enlarge Himself in you beyond all you could ever ask, hope or dream of.

Much love in Christ, Not me

John 10:28-30

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”

I can hear it already..... “Well , He wont let go of us — but we can let go of Him! I don’t care if they are in a hand or not— they verse says they shall NEVER PERISH!  Case closed......only a Willfull fool would try to argue against that.Sadly, we can now sit back and watch them argue that NEVER does not really mean NEVER....

I enjoyed the post as well. It's really nice to take verses like the one you posted and others posted here and show them to people who feel like the Old Testament was just law, wrath, and judgment. It's clear that even in the Old Testament the theme of God's love is strongly present.
