(Worthy News) - President Donald Trump on Thursday called the FBI probe into his 2016 campaign and subsequent investigations into Russian election meddling “an attempted overthrow" of his administration.

“This was a coup,” Trump told host Sean Hannity on Fox News’ “Hannity” in his first interview since the Mueller report's release. “This was an attempted overthrow of the United States government.”

Trump insisted that special counsel Robert Mueller's team investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election had gone “hog wild to find something about the administration which obviously wasn't there.” [ Source: Politico (Read More...) ]

It was not a "coup".   Which by definition is:  (a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government.)

There was no violent, or illegal seizure of power or even an attempt at such a thing. It was an "Investigation".

I won't be around when the history of this time is written, but it looks like an attempted coup to me.

Why? Because Trump said it was? It dose not fit the definition of a "coup". But I am willing to listen to why you think it is.

"Bloodless coup" is a typical expression commonly used.
