Hartono, and one that could lead to an edifying discussion. I continue carrying MY cross because I'm a disciple of Christ and one of the disciplines of our Christian discipleship is that of denying ourselves and taking up our cross daily. (Luke 9:23) I have identified three similarities between our crosses and the Cross Christ bore: His Cross was the burden of doing His Heavenly Father's Will, as is the cross we bear. His Cross was the instrument of His death, as is the cross we bear to achieve the death of our fleshly desires. His Cross was the consequence of His willingness to achieve our salvation, as is the cross we bear the consequence of our willingness to witness our salvation. Such a truth and a strength in these words here Debp; “where am I to go, you have the words of eternal life” Can’t tell you the amount of times I have spoke these words to God, as I throw myself at His feet of mercy to do in me and for me what I can not do for myself. Oh the trust and love and strength and security these words build in the heart. My heart just rejoices at the thought and meaning of them. Blessings for bringing joy to my heart this morning. I want to know this God who died for me so that I might experience these things. How do you suffer and carry on ? I used to suffer, when I was on the wide road, carrying a much heavier burden that didn't offer me any help whatsoever. But the cross of Christ is abundant help. For my Lord Jesus has already done all the lifting and trodding, if that is to be the expression used for His mission of bringing salvation that is permanent beyond time itself. Jesus alone has done all of it, not part of it but all. Just the truth..nothing is promised and life isnt guarenteed tommorow . The only true security is heaven thats it.
