God doesnt promise us wealth, security, protection, abundancy, just look at the end of those apostles.

What makes you continue carrying the cross on the narrow road ? Dont you suffer  ? How do you suffer and carry on ?

Actually my load is light and the road is easy to traverse. For my Lord Jesus has already done all the lifting and trodding, if that is to be the expression used for His mission of bringing salvation that is permanent beyond time itself. Jesus alone has done all of it, not part of it but all. Makes my load inconsequential for it has nothing to do with my salvation only my privileged walk in it totally secured in the flock of Jesus, by Jesus.

This is good. I wish when i was a new christian this was talked about more..not prosperity and promises...

Just the truth..nothing is promised and life isnt guarenteed tommorow .

The only true security is heaven thats it.

But im looking forward to the comments.

My love for Jesus Christ.

Matthew 16:24-26

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.  For whatprofit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

If you wonder if you are ready to take up your cross, consider these questions:
Are you willing to follow Jesus if it means losing some of your closest friends?
Are you willing to follow Jesus if it means alienation from your family?
Are you willing to follow Jesus if it means the loss of your reputation?
Are you willing to follow Jesus if it means losing your job?
Are you willing to follow Jesus if it means losing your life?

I've seen the difference between leading a sinful life and leading a life of repentance. Repentance pays better.
