Registering for Worthy Christian Forums

Welcome to Worthy Ministries! By registering you'll be able to have access to Worthy Christian Forums and Worthy Christian Chat.

Worthy Christian Forums is a non-denominational ministry where we discuss a host of worthy topics such as Bible prophecy, theology, and the latest news. Our desire is to provide a Christian-friendly, family oriented atmosphere online. In Order to do that we apply the following rules.

Please take a moment to review these rules detailed below. If you agree with them and wish to proceed with the registration, simply click the "Register" button below. To cancel this registration, simply hit the 'back' button on your browser.

Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.

The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this bulletin board. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email [moderator at worthychristianforums.com]. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

You may not post any material that is disrespectful of God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, or the Bible. This includes usernames or anything in your profile, or sig. (Ex. 20:7)

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this bulletin board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.

The use of profanity will not be tolerated. This includes sexually explicit, vulgar, or other profane language or usernames as well as any any signs or symbols that suggests such. Do not post sexually explicit, vulgar or offensive website addresses (URL's) to the forum. (Eph. 4: 29)

Abuse of other posters is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, name calling, insulting, harassing, threatening or in any way invading the privacy of another poster. We also strongly discourage giving out personal information such as email addresses, physical addresses and phone numbers on the public boards. Any information given out in private is at your own discretion and risk. (Eph. 4: 29)

Debate the subject, not the person. It is possible to disagree about a doctrine or subject under discussion without insulting the person with whom you are debating. Also remember that the fact that a person disagrees with you does not mean they are attacking you as a person. Respect each other in the love of God! This is the main reason that threads get stopped, shut down, and even deleted!  We also reserve the right to remove any member from any thread for any of these violations. Users that cannot respect others will be banned. (Lev. 19:18)

No “spamming” allowed. Spamming is flooding the forums, mass PMs or emailing multiple members of this forum with unsolicited messages. It also includes links in posts or Sigs to sites that sell or solicits funds. No solicitation of any form will be allowed.

No Plagiarism. You must have permission to post copyrighted material. When you do have permission, all due attribution is to be posted as well. (Ex. 20:15, Lev 19:11)

By posting on the forums here, you understand that your posts are publicly visible and that you are freely and voluntarily putting what you post here, into the public domain. If that is not acceptable, then do not post anything you do not want widely read and publicly disseminated.

Misrepresentation of age, gender or identity on Worthy Ministries is prohibited. Neither will you impersonate anyone in Worthy Ministries, including administrators, violation of this rule can and will be grounds for being banned from Worthy Ministries. (Ex. 20:15, Lev 19:11)

Disrespectful or threatening comments toward governmental institutions and/or world leaders will not be tolerated. (1 Pet. 2:13-17)

Usernames should not contain titles such as Rev. or Dr. We have no way to verify one's education or right to bear such title. Here on the boards, we are all on equal standing.

If you have a problem with any of the Moderators or Chat admin, please keep it private. The moderation team serves this ministry on a voluntary basis. They are human beings and make mistakes. If you disagree with one of their decisions, make use of the PM system or email or the Report Post button to get satisfaction. (Matt. 18:15)

This is a privately funded message board, we reserve the right to edit or remove any postings that we feel are detrimental to the fellowship on this board, or detrimental to the witness of the board, as we see fit. It is not possible to read every post. If you see a board violation, please report it using the “Report Post” button.

These rules are subject to change at any time without notice. We will make every effort to ensure that users are aware of the changes in a timely manner.

Well I’ve been on restriction for quite some time, probably for ever who knows.

And the offense was that I said looking at all the religions of the world there’s none that have 101 denominations like Christianity and there’s something seriously not right about that. I still stand by my words

I was excused of insulting Christians, sadly the moderator basically was calling me a non Christian for saying things against Christianity

Moderators are human like anyone here and can make hap heartily decision based on personal opinion rather site roles in the heat of the moment.

And to this

They are human beings and make mistakes. If you disagree with one of their decisions, make use of the PM system or email or the Report Post button to get satisfaction. (Matt. 18:15)

I will let the decision ride and moderators can ponder the right and wrongs others in this world

I have been had posts removed and been banned from forums for the way I say things without being asked first to try and modify the wording. It is just the way I see/say things. Even on non-Christian type boards, like City-Data, I get insulted left and right by rude individuals but when I defend myself (nicely), my posts are removed and I get ban warnings.

I have people telling me all the time they are Christians because they "believe" in God, but that is it. Not live by Him. Not try to learn from Him. They will have sex with many partners and get abortions and do the drugs, but they are Christians because they "believe in God." Someone claiming to be a Christian but not believe in God, amazingly I not heard that one before.

I don't ever recall any of your posts having that issue on Worthy.  Whatever took place on another forum ... we run things a bit differently here.  :)

As the new regulation concerning atheists requires you to ban every atheist from the main sections - we discussed this in length - I am worried about her ending up getting banned, too?

Nobody gets banned ... they are restricted as to where they can post if they are not truly having a dialogue.  If they are simply stirring the pot so to speak, we move them to an area whereby they can have discussions with seasoned believers in the faith.

Oh no. Not from here. I was referring to other forums. Sorry for the confusion.

Actually, moderators have a series of checks and balances as well.  And you are not BANNED from any thread ... your posts are simply reviewed because of past behavior.   God bless,

George

Tis okay ...we love to have discussions in love ... and heated ones ... and if there was a situation whereby I removed something ... I would place a note within the post itself ... oftentimes send a Private Message ... and certainly a private message if I banned you from a thread.  And we don't ban people easily ... we may regulate their posting at times, but we certainly don't want to shut down the dialogue -- even with the most hardened of atheists!

Yes I haven’t been banned nor do I think I mentioned as such,

the checks and balances hmm, well I’ve seen and reported some things I’ve seen moderators have posted and it doesn’t seem very much of check n balance some lean towards a knee jerk reaction rather than check n balance, but of coarse surely even this site has slip ups from folks even among their own ranks, but I am not going to sweat the small things. but in my opinion good moderators would as well be quick to think slow to speak. it is quite profound the use of words, sometimes our words even though might be logic in our own minds yet can insulting to others or even egg them on even farther with animosity’s

Hi George,

thank you so much for answering.

So once you say someone is stirring up the pot, and this someone writes from an atheist perspective... you ban them from the mainsections I mean you move them to another area, ;). Ok, so they write maybe 30 posts and then it's over - good to know!

My I ask a question as to how the timing might evolve?

For instance poster natesute is now called seeker*. So he can't reply anymore, I guess.

But this change in his title occured in the middle of a debate... so now, when he doesn't respond anymore in the thread, should we feel tempted to think that he does so since he was persuaded by the replies fom the believing side? Is this what the others should think?

I mean how should new members or guests interpret him suddenly ceasing to reply?

Is it clear to everyone that he doesn't reply any more because he can't and not because he was persuaded by the arguments?

Thank you for your thoughts... and keep on reaching out to non-believers!

Thomas

Perhaps as does this not quite new member, by not ever giving it a second thought, or even a first.

while not agreeing, I never meant to discuss him as a person. It was just a recent example of how it could look like when people are banned from replying?

I find it is highly unfair to discuss him as a person in a bad way when he cannot reply, Neighbor. In my opinion, this is hostile behavior.

This, in my opinion, is our No. 1 problem when George says he still wants to outreach to the world. How do we expect to attract new visitors?

Let's share the best thing we have (the Good News) instead of displaying poisonous remarks against others, please.

Thanks,

Thomas
