I want to make a youtube channel where I will talk mostly about the Bible and christian teachings. I want to know whether it would be wrong for me to monetize my channel or not? Also, I will write an ebook with christian content, does it need to be given freely or can I earn money from my ebook sellings? I really do not know whether it is wrong or right. There is a priest I like who has a site: https://padrepauloricardo.org/seja-aluno His site has many courses, but they are paid, so maybe it is not wrong? 2 peter 2:3 seems to be against it but then 1 timothy 5:17 seem to be ok with it

There is nothing wrong with monetizing a Christian channel, then tithing on it or giving more or even all of the money to Christian needs and causes. The actual question for me and others who do full or part-time Christian work (and projects like books and tours and etc.) for money--am I charging reasonable prices and earning reasonable profits or am I being covetous?

I am left with believing that if God wants me to make some money from the gifts He gives me, He will make it so. I know that really doesn't help, but then again, why sell what we get for free? Especially if you're hoping to make Youtube and E-Books your career. You might even eventually open a donation page, where people can support your content. It might perhaps go without saying, but please be mindful that Youtube can be a bit cancerous at times. The word either reaches people or it doesnt; don't let anyone who spits venom wear you down too much, yeah?

Christian e-books are really no different from Christian books IMO. I'd say Billiards has the right of it.

Even pastors need to get paid while they carry out duties.
