I know this may be a controversial subject-- but its something ive thought about.

Im having a hard time believing god genuinely loves us.

Its hard for me to know when God can passively watch horrid things take place and not intervene.

I just...idk if He loves us..

God's glory is a part of Him.   It is the shining light that surrounds Him.  I don't think He loves it.

He does love you more than you will ever realize.  It is hard to comprehend God's love for us who are so insignificant in compared to the universe, let alone that He care for us.  It is just a fact.  He created us, the enemy stole us through deceit, and God gave up His Son to suffer and die to buy us back with His blood.  That is redemption.  We only need to receive that gift for ourselves and thank Him.

Just a simple answer to the question, no, He doesn't love His glory more than us. I was also going to post probably the most well known verse as Sonshine did, but think about it. What greater love could the Lord have but to sacrifice His own Son? This was no easy thing to do, can you just imagine this for a moment? Wow... It's mind-boggling to me, when ever I might even have an inkling of doubt. God bless you, dear. I know you're going through some hard times right now. You are on my prayer list, don't forget. In Christ's love, David.

God is well aware of His glory, it is a matter of us realizin' it.... n no doubt He loves us, we are His children whom he loves without question.

God's love is something we gradually come to experience as we grow as Christians. For me there have been enough timely coincidences and near disasters that turned out alright or even favorable in the end that I feel confident that God does love me. Aside from sending Jesus to die for us, consider what Jesus said about what encompassed all the commandments. Love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. If everyone lived by that the world would be a far better place. That's as much something God wants for us in the long run as He wants us to be saved and have eternal life.

Here's a link to a different thread.  I posted some thoughts that address this to some degree in the second post in that thread.
