How do you let people know you’re a Christian?

1. Hopefully by my actions

2. Taxation is theft

3. Tell them you eat Chick-fil-A at least once a week

4. I tell them I'm a Christian

5. Use the word grace or saved (or both) in every sentence.

6. Talk? To people?

If at work two easy ways.

Put a Christian book/bible on your desk and be seen to read it .

Talk about chuyrch on mondays.

Shalom @Pekoudah,

Great topic. But it might be better to re-post this as a poll?  The results would be very interesting.

Love & Shalom

1 and 6.

I don't mind openly reading the Bible. I try to be nice, though my rather aloof personality comes off as rude to a number of people.

I am aloof indeed, however, and I don't like talking that much. I either don't have anything to say or i'd rather not say anything, you know? I more than likely do need to learn how to deal with people, though; I think I get too comfortable being closed off and so when I do have to deal with someone, i'm a bit inexperienced.

A shot in the dark: None of the above? But by walking in the Spirit and yielded to do/say whatever He says to do, and not to when He says not to? The witness of His Presence?

"Surely, God is with you". (Paraphrased, I can't find the scripture)

Edit: 1 & 6...? they will know we are Christians by our Love

You know I went through a phase where I always wore a Jesus t-shirt. I had my car painted with bible verses....and had a cross on my house with a verse on it. (Just in case anyone came near me and didn't realize I was a Christian) :)

I stopped doing that sort of thing when a car pulled up to me one day at a red light and the guy driving started blowing kisses at me (now I was used to people giving me the finger because of my verses on the side and rear of the car...but I had forgotten about them at that time). I drove away and the guy kept looking at me waving and smiling trying to get my attention. I thought he was queer so I just looked straight ahead and tried ignoring him by slowing the car down to let him drive on ahead. He finally gave up and drove off...that's when I saw the verses on HIS car on the back! He was a brother trying to get my attention...but I mistook his gestures for another kind of thing. That's when I realized that God didn't need my help.

I went through a number of phases....street preaching...among them. But I found that it was just me trying too hard to be a light in the world.

It is better to seek the Lord and wait on Him...in order to be sent out by the Spirit. Even though I also did that...in my mind I thought God needed more help. :)

And here I am thinking of getting a holy dingle dongle tattoo on my forearm ( See my avatar). But I want it in gold, real gold color, haven't seen a good gold tattoo yet.

Hey, more seriously; I do agree that God does not need my help! He can and will have even the rocks cry out His name  in worship of him should His own not do so.

Yet God does desire my worship. It pleases Him. This I know, Jesus loves me. In my joy how can I not identify with Him as His bond-servant?

It is not possible to hide my joy and have a deep seeded want to share of it. Besides, conveniently it is commanded of me to do so. How very wonderful; for me a bond-servant  of Jesus to have such a pleasant task as to proclaim Him to be my Lord and personal savior, His own blood shed for me that I may have eternal life with Him, His Father, and God the Holy Spirit, for all of eternity to come.

I like the avatar intermingled with the Menorah on top, Star of David in the middle, and Ichthys symbol on the bottom. Referring it as a 'dingle-dongle' does baffle the mind a bit, bit I get you're point of view. lol God bless!

Shalom,

David/BeauJangles
