And the evidence of the broken firmament: The Lybian Glass Fields. You can look up the Lybian glass fields if you like, to see the glass that is colored like the dusk and dawn sky light at the horizon facing the sun. I will check back later to see if any replies. If you want to take a literal position, that H2O covered all land on earth, for The Flood of Genesis, I see this as a position that violates the basics of the water cycle. Water evaporates, and rises up, then, falls back down as rain. Over and over. Nothing more, nothing less. Genesis says the windows of heaven (firmament) were opened. KJV This verse seems to fit more with the interpretation I opened the thread with. The open window of heaven was sealed. Then the "waters" that were "continually" hitting the earth for 150 days stopped. Then 40 days later it was safe to open a window in the "gopher wood ark", but the dove still couldn't land on the ground. Then 7 days later the dove found an olive leaf, but came back to the ark. Then 7 days later the dove left the ark for its freedom. If you continue to believe that this flood really happened, and believe it was literally H20 flooding the earth, where, in 54 days, did all this H2O covering all dry land evaporate off to?
