Pornography

What about it? What kind of follower of Christ would engage in it?

Matthew 5:28
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Adulteres wont make it into heaven.

As a general rule of thumb, when someone posts a topic, and especially such as pornography, usually someone is struggling with this issue. And I've seen a woman post her difficulties with it as well. It must have taken a lot of courage and honest humility. No one responded with with harsh and condemning accusations. An addiction is an addiction, and sin is sin. The situation was handled discreetly, tactfully, and with compassion. So, what is it with this is concerning you? Do you have a problem, or do you just want a general discussion about it? God bless.

Shalom,

David/BeauJangles

Dealing with pornograph is like dealing with any addiction.

One has to stop and find ways of coping with the craving/desire to indulge.

May I suggest setting ones anti virus or internet firewall so it recognises one as a young child, blocking everything that is harmfull to such a child.  Put known sites in the always block list. As you set it, you can alter it, but having to do so gives one time to rethink what is being done and not to do it.

As part of this one also has to do house keeping to ones internet connected devices deleting all saved images, cookies and files.

Then you do the same thing to your home. Throwing out all magerzines, books etc.

Lastly find something to do with your time, take up model railways, carpentry, car restoration, join a choir, anything that will take up your spare time.

On top of this spend more time each day reading the bible and praying for other people.

Start reading through the bible in a year, use your chgurches prayer diary and the prayer diary of the missionaries you/your church support.
