actually in this case it would.   We had plumbers out to clean out our line from roots in a 60 year old line and they left the cover off the outside access to it.   I was friendly with the little guy for he's been around the house for two years eating lots of bugs.  BTW I didn't hurt him, I just put on gloves and picked him up and gave him a good bath and set him loose outside.  He's hibernating somewhere in the back of my garage.

My wife was not happy over the whole thing though...  actually that's pretty much a gross understatement. LoL   One just does not tell the totally irrational things one's wife does when surprised.

We lived on Lay Lake in Alabama for five years. I was emtying trash cans and saw what I thought was piece of unraveld carpet across the back of the toilet. Reached down to pick it up ....It moved ....Stapped back and told my wife "Stad here for a minute and watch this thing." ""What is it?" "Snake" Then had to counter with "Calm down, just watch him." returned with a plstic shallow dish piece of tupperware and dropped it over him. He kept hitting the side of the dish. Got a paper plate, slide it under the tupperware, to lock him in.

"What kind is it?" "Copperhead, see the head?" Wife goes more ballistic .....

Walked him out across the front yard, out on the dock and dropped him into the water. We had an eight pound bass living under the dock and she didn't disappoint. Snake hit the water and BAM! ......no snake.

I was more worried about what would have happened if one of us had gotten bitten and not seen the snake ....

At least it could swim!   I felt sorry for the poor squirrel drowned in the toilet.

Talking about septic tanks.   Did you hear about the California Amazon driver who fell into the septic tank the other day?   He was up to his knees in the "stuff." After being rescued, he went back to delivering his packages.

Amazon did send another driver to take half of the 100 packages.
