Best personal defense is learning the word of God,  prayer, plus having and training with a big gun and long knife. Box for exercise if one wishes.

Prayer is the best of weapons available. Physical ability to box, kick , run, stab, shoot, may also be good.

You might trying praying first. But boxing as a way of defense is ok. Using physical force is the last thing you want to do. But if you find your life is in danger you may have to resort to that.

It is a sport just like kickboxing. I wouldnt say so. But that is an opinion, i don't think so. Specially if your protecting yourself.
