Do you think that because the Bible says (2 Tim 3:16-17) 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [a]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. Is the Pope right in doing this? (A) A state of trial in which God brings His people through adversity and affliction in order to encourage and prove their faith and confidence in Him (Mat 6:13; ( This is confirmed in 1 Peter 1.) G3986 (Word Study) πειρασμός peirasmós; gen. peirasmoú, masc. noun from peirázō (G3985), to make trial of, try, tempt. Trial, temptation, a putting to the test, spoken of persons only. When God is the agent, peirasmós is for the purpose of proving someone, never for the purpose of causing him to fall. If it is the devil who tempts, then it is for the purpose of causing one to fall. The pope may have good intentions but he should have changed the word to trials. He needed to stick to the meaning of the Greek. The good news is that God is able to “save us from the tempter’s power” if we will but call upon Him for help. 1 Cor 10:13 says, " There isn’t any temptation that you have experienced which is unusual for humans. God, who faithfully keeps his promises, will not allow you to be tempted beyond your power to resist. The Scribes etc changed the Tanach since they could not accept a Savior 'hanging on a tree'. The 'church fathers' modified the Aramaic and focused on Greek renditions. Much is lost unless you get original text (hard to do but not impossible) and go from there. The KJV is good, but not perfect - there are many errors. You do not have to be a scholar to search out the truth. As far as the RCC goes, well, history has shown them up to be exactly what they were in ages past when death was the punishment for even having a portion of scripture. It is what it is.
