As I was lying in bed last night praying for the Worthy family, I thought about how much love is on these forums and what a privilege it is to be a member here. I am so looking forward to the eternal fellowship we will enjoy together in the Presence of our LORD. (Hope you'll forgive the encore if it's already been posted)

When We All Get to Heaven

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,

sing his mercy and his grace;

in the mansions bright and blessed

he'll prepare for us a place.

Refrain: When we all get to heaven,

what a day of rejoicing that will be!

When we all see Jesus

we'll sing and shout the victory.

While we walk the pilgrim pathway

clouds will overspread the sky,

but when traveling days are over,

not a shadow, not a sigh. [Refrain]

Let us then be true and faithful,

trusting, serving every day;

just one glimpse of Him in glory

will the toils of life repay. [Refrain]

@Jubilea  :amen: Me, too!! I'm eager to meet you, Becky, frienduff, sugarbear, Beaujangles,  and soooo many more. Too many to list. :)

The song you posted has such encouraging lyrics. Thanks! Brings back wonderful memories of growing up. This is one we would sing in our little church. My family would attend together. :wub:My dad (now in Heaven) really enjoyed the hymns. :) I loved how he belted them out.

I love that!

I’ve not heard of that hymn, but the lyrics are wonderful.

I read a verse yesterday that said “We can’t see Him, but He sees us.”

The lyrics to your hymn reminded me of it.

And I love the picture of that cute sparrow!

God bless,

Becky.

@marvelloustime :teeth_smile:Praise the Lord! I'm glad that I could introduce you to one of my favorite hymns. It brings out a tenderness in our Lord to think that He cares for all of His creations...even the tiny sparrows.

Cool. Where is that scripture found, dear sister?

I'm happy you do. Thanks for letting me know. :)I always thought of sparrows as sweet.

Btw, sorry it took me so long to react to your post. I just now:b: found it. This shows how unorganized and willy-nilly I am. :red_smile: I see you posted it around the time of my daughter's wedding, so that might explain it. lol

Please read what I wrote in my reply to Jubilea. I mentioned you in a comment there.:)

Brings back good memories for me, too, turtletwo. Even as a youngster, I found hymns worshipful. Oh, how much your dad must be enjoying adding his voice to the praise of heaven!  -(and my parents, too)! :)

Hi @turtletwo

Ooops sorry, apologies. No, it was a devotional I read on bible.com. And it said that just because we can't physically see Him, He always sees us. Funnily enough, I just sent you PM about something similar, and quoted the verse:

Psalm 121:8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.

I also love that hymn @Jubilea I haven't heard of it before, but what wonderful lyrics. I'm also with you and Turtletwo, I am very much looking forward to meeting everyone here at Worthy in Heaven, with Jesus.

God bless.

Becky. xxx

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near;
Praise Him in glad adoration.

Praise to the Lord, who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen how thy desires e’er have been
Granted in what He ordaineth?

Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;
Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee;
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,
If with His love He befriend thee.

Praise to the Lord, who, when tempests their warfare are waging,
Who, when the elements madly around thee are raging,
Biddeth them cease, turneth their fury to peace,
Whirlwinds and waters assuaging.

Praise to the Lord, who, when darkness of sin is abounding,
Who, when the godless do triumph, all virtue confounding,
Sheddeth His light, chaseth the horrors of night,
Saints with His mercy surrounding.

Praise to the Lord, oh, let all that is in me adore Him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him;
Let the Amen sound from His people again,
Gladly for aye we adore Him.

I was happy to recently find there is an additional verse I was unaware of.

Here it is: (encouraging words :))

Praise to the Lord, who hath fearfully,
  wondrously, made thee!
Health hath vouchsafed and, when
  heedlessly falling, hath stayed thee.
    What need or grief
Ever hath failed of relief?
Wings of His mercy did shade thee.

Note: the word "vouchsafed" means:

1. to give or grant or condescend to give or grant: she vouchsafed no reply; he vouchsafedme no encouragement.
2. (may take a clause as object or an infinitive) to agree, promise, or permit, often graciouslyor condescendingly: he vouchsafed to come yesterday.

One of my favorites! Hope this isn't a duplicate -- (but maybe it would be worth repeating :))

"Trust and Obey"

When we walk with the Lord in the light of his word,

what a glory he sheds on our way!

While we do his good will, he abides with us still,

and with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain: Trust and obey,

for there's no other way

to be happy in Jesus,

but to trust and obey.

2 Not a burden we bear,

not a sorrow we share,

but our toil he doth richly repay;

not a grief or a loss,

not a frown or a cross,

but is blest if we trust and obey. [Refrain]

3 But we never can prove

the delights of his love

until all on the altar we lay;

for the favor he shows, for the joy he bestows,

are for them who will trust and obey. [Refrain]

4 Then in fellowship sweet

we will sit at his feet,

or we'll walk by his side in the way;

what he says we will do, where he sends we will go;

never fear, only trust and obey. [Refrain]

@Jubilea This is one of the most edifying hymns written, imo.

Hi @Jubilea

I remember that song! I used to sing it as a child at Sunday School. I can visualise myself stood there with the other kids singing it!

Ooooh memories! My mother volunteering in the church kitchen doing the coffee and teas after the services. My dad sat in the church lounge, in a corner with a cup of coffee in his lap, reading the notices, so he didn’t have to speak to anyone. Lol.

And me as a child, playing outside in the gardens with the other children and also trying to annoy my dad. Lol.
