Will we be afraid to stand before God because of His Holiness? When we stand before God , what do we expect Him to say to us? Can we boast in our own works done here on earth ? I do solemnly stand before God because of my transformation in Him through His death for you me. God is Holy ,we can't do anything good if it's not given to us through the Holy Spirit,we can only stand before God through Jesus and not by anything we do. We will stand only in the righteousness of Christ that was transferred to us on the day we were saved (born again.) Christ's righteousness refers to His perfect state of being. His perfection is necessary because sin separates people from God. Imputed is a form of the word imputation that means to designate an action as reckoned or given to a person. In other words, the righteousness of Jesus is given to us when we believe in order to make us right before God. Romans 4 is sometimes referred to as the imputation chapter as it speaks about this issue in detail. In referring to Abraham's faith, Paul notes, "That is why his faith was 'counted to him as righteousness.' But the words 'it was counted to him' were not written for his sake alone, but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification" (Romans 4:22-25). Now when the Accuser Of the Brethern brings up my sins in front of a Heavenly Audience, God says “ What sins ?” Then I will ask to see what was responsible for my lucky break. That would be the Heavenly Mercy Seat with the most precious thing in the Universe sprinkled on it—The Blood Of Christ.My faith in that Shed Blood was where I put my faith . It was enough.Turns out that song we sing ,too often absent mindedly, was brilliant in its insight.NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD.
