Was a pleasure and blessing to read. (God is teaching you). There is a great truth in what you are putting forth. For the desire of love was the first mover in God. Psalm 37:4 It seems to me that when delighting yourself in the Lord, He automatically becomes the greatest desire of your heart.

Do we want what God wants? What thoughts come from our heart? Mark 7:20-23 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” Human fleshly desires. God can replace our hearts from what is evil to good. Ezekiel 11:19 Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within [a]them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh,

I suppose it is true that we are motivated by desire. That might explain why Jesus said no one is good but the Father in heaven. However, some come to understand and accept that the Lord's way is the way to happiness, and they try to do things his way.
