Grateful people are happier and healthier, and fewer of them get depressed or discouraged. These studies confirm what God has been telling us all along. A cheerful heart is good medicine (Proverbs 17:22). So Cheer up! No matter what you may be going through, there is always just one thing that you can remind yourself of that God has done for you or sheltered you from. Praising Him through the tough times is when we are building our true character and demonstrating to God that we are in this for the long run. Philippians 4:6-8 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.
