The scribes and pharisees THOUGHT they were the sole teachers of the Law. They did not understand the AUTHOR of the Law was in their presence. This thought has very little to do with the Jewish temple of God still to be built. Not a side step at all. It demonstrates that "sitting in a seat" doesn't have to be referring to a literal seat. I'm surprised you missed it.

You are read from Rev. Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. If God calls it "the temple of God," who am I to argue? I stand corrected. It WILL BE "the temple of God." I guess I should say then, who are you to argue against God? If there are worshipers INSIDE the temple worshiping God, then it becomes a temple of God. Do you understand what it means to "worship God in Spirit...?" ONLY born again people can worship God "in Spirit." It is FAR more likely these people in the new temple will NOT be born again. But people worshiped God in the Old Testament before ANYONE was born again. But they were not worshiping Him in "Spirit." They worshiped Him in their flesh. Your scripture then does not fit. Nice try, but you missed it yet again. By the way, I AM born again, so I DO worship Him in Spirit. What? Do you imagine the Jews would build a new temple and NO ONE would be inside worshiping? Do you ever see those at the wailing wall? You actually believe those people worshing a wall know God? You believe they can worship something they dont know? https://biblehub.com/matthew/26-61.htm You believe the same as these two witnesses not understanding the word of God Edited June 22, 2019 by Shilohsfoal

Did Malachi "know" God? Did Jeremiah "know" Go? I think all of the Old Testament people knew God to some extent. Do you imagine they are praying to Satan? Of course you don't: they are praying to the same God WE worship. One thing is certain: they want to know God MORE: that is why they spend time there praying. I hope they survive until they see the nail prints in His hands!

Look; if you don't believe Paul was literal about the man of sin entering a real temple, it is OK. When it happens THEN you will know.

You seem to have a very very limited faith in our God. As If He could not have a "brick and mortar" temple as well as millions of human temples at the same time. You amaze me. Did you ever read the last few chapters of Ezekiel? Do you imagine God just wasted words there? Do you imagine our God is just not big enough to bring that prophecy to pass? The truth is, WE are the temple of God, in our born again spirit; but there is also going to be a real, physical temple where people enter and worship. Why is this so difficult for you to believe?
