Pluralism is dangerous obviously as the bible is the Word and the Word is Jesus and Jesus is God.

Its sad aswell as God sent us a love letter which is the bible.

No professional philosopher as ever adequately answered this question:

What is the truth about 'truth is relative' without giving a relative answer.

Maybe an angry panda wont do it. A clever and civilized meerkat instead who is willing to sit down and talk about it with a coffee.

??

Simply ask, "Are you absolutely sure all truth is relative?" Of course:

yes = one truth, "all truth is relative" is always true, therefore, some truth is NOT relative

no = they need to believe truth can be objective

What is truth? Jesus is the truth.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

I disagree. It‘s called beeing a Christian and not beeing a „biblist“: this religion is for me about believing in Jesus and not every other word of the Bible literarily.  The first Christians had no fixed bible, and even when the Bible was assembled it was very expensive and hence under the control of the rich. Would the early Christians and the poor hence have been less worthy Christians than us?

The Greeks allowed everyone to copy their Scriptures.

You need time to copy religious texts and at least in medieval Europe it was copied on animal hide, which is expensive. But I have to excuse, I anyway got the subject wrong. I thought the subject is about pluralism inside the religion and not between. For the later case I have not made up my mind. Religions could be like different languages to find god. But I personally can only understand Jesus language well :)

This is sort of not the topic but for interest and joy I looked up what a complete bible could have costed. It‘s said the price would be comparable to a car and for the parchment „One bible needed a medium sized herd of sheep.“ talking of sacrifices for believe our generation is propably lame ?
