It seems that churches and commentaries seems to disagree on their interpretation of Revelation.

It seems like we don't understand them at times either. These are the things that churches and commentaries seem to differ to a certain degree.

1. The Beast with 7 Heads and 10 horns.

2. The Mystery of Babylon. Who is this woman really to be?

3. What do they mean about that Great City? Are they talking about Babylon or another city?

So from what you studied what do you think these interpretations are?

How someone interprets this is based on the system of prophetic interpretation they are using. If they are a futurist which most denominations subscribe to, they see most of Revelation being only pertinent to a future 7 year period. The preterist view most of Revelation if not all of it as being fulfilled by the second century. The historicist system which I believe sees Revelation as being fulfilled historically from the time right before John and right down to the end of time.

The protestant reformers were all historicist and they understood this beast with 7 heads and 10 horns to be the Papacy. If you go to Daniel 7 and count up the heads of the 4 beasts listed and count all the horns the result is seven heads and ten horns. Revelation 13 is an expansion and continuation of the little horn mentioned in Daniel 7.

Babylon is represented by a woman and in the bible, a woman has been using to represent a church in numerous places. This woman represents the false system of religion and worship which shall cause the masses to accept the mark of the beast.

As for #3, just know that the Vatican was built on seven hills kinda like what Rev 17:9 talks about.

I explain all that in a former thread I posted.

In short Babylon and the Harlot are TWO DIFFERENT ENTITIES.

The Harlot = All False Religion of All time.

Babylon = All False Governance of All time under Satan/Dragon.

1. Rev. 13 is the Anti-Christ....Rev. 12 is the Dragon/Satan.....Rev. 17 is the Scarlet Colored Beast or Apollyon.

2. I verse 7 the Angel sats clearly COME and I will show you the Mystery of the Woman AND the Beast she rides. So there is no Mystery. As I stated above the Harlot is All False Religion, that is why she is KILLED OFF in Rev. 17:16, the Beast MAN Demands to be worshipped as the ONLY god, thus Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism etc. all will be JUDGED or Destroyed by the Beast and his Kings. Rev. 17:1........Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

3. The Great City John SAW was in the vision, what did he see ? Four Names were on the Hatlots {real Harlots of old wore a headband identifying them} Head, Mystery, {COMMA} Babylon the Great, Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the whole earth.  The MYSTERY is explained, she is Mysticism, False Religion etc. She was at her Zenith in Babylon, the City of false gods lore. Semiramis married Nimrod her own son, thus she was the Mother of these False Religions and finally God is a jealous God, serving ANY GOD but the true God is an Abomination unto him.

So the CITY is Babylon, its the Head of Gold that will be DESTROYED by the Rock Jesus in Dan. ch. 2, it means CONFUSION, and of course Satan will lead a CONFUSED PEOPLES against God, you have to be confused to fight against a loving all merciful God. Babylon is THE WHOLE WORLD under Satan, or his Dark Kingdom on Earth.

Most churches in the world, and most commentaries,  and most people ,  after being tested, are proven false.

A good tested proven resource today is found in the worthychristianlibrary.com  -- books or lessons by Godly proven men and women in line with all Scripture,

without arguments going on,  without squabbling like on the forums,  and without errors like on all the forums.

Access the LIBRARY through the link,

or  in the upper left of this page,  HOVER THE CURSOR over "Worthy Ministries" and click on the option in the drop down menu that appears.

The beast in Revelation 13:1 is symbolic for kingdoms/political powers (Revelations17:9-11) that come “out of the seas.”  (See Isaiah 17:12, 13; 57:20; Revelation 17:15)  As mentioned at Revelation 13:4, the “Dragon” (Satan) gives these kingdoms power.  (See Matthew 4:8, 9; Luke 4:6; John 12:31; Revelation 12:9)  This beast is also discussed and prophesized-in part-at Daniel 2:27-33; 7:2-8. (See Daniel 7:17)  Yes, Revelation mentions seven; however, at the time of Nebuchadnezzar’s dreams and the interpretation/prophecy made, two kingdom/powers have passed: Egypt and Assyria.

“Mystery Babylon” mentioned in Revelations 17:5, 7 is the world empire of false religion that has a “kingdom over the kings of the earth.” (Revelation 17:1, 15, 18)  Compare: Revelation 18:2-24.

Babylon (Babel) became notorious for its false religious beliefs/practices that were propagated in there and spread throughout the world.  Physical Babylon was destroyed permanently and now-in a parallel or future prophecy modern day “Babylon” will also be destroyed.

1. G7/G10 soon to be D10 (search it if you don’t know what it is the Holy Spirit led me to it) Could be the G10 were GOD elevated nations and D10 indicates the devils influence on the worlds leading nations

2. Mystery Babylon aka the great Harlot is identified in the Bible as the Great City also known as Jerusalem. It seems to be at the center of all controversies (including the lockdowns/jabs/passports/middle east turmoil/satans gift of technology) in the modern also.

3. Great city was answered in #2

After the last two years I wonder if those having already responded to this would answer the same way…

2. An evil world system ruled by the Antichrist. Since it says it is a mystery it does not give us details as to the woman is.

3. Please give me Scripture as to the Great City.

Rev 11:8 and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city that symbolically is called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified.

Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

I believe the prophecy refers to Jerusalem.
