How did God save you ?

Ok,

Lets talk about HOW God saved you.

How did He do it?

Well, He did it all by Himself, (Jesus), BY resolving a problem that YOU had., . ( if you are now born again).

And what is that problem?   The problem you had and have, is that you have, OF YOURSELF, no righteousness.  NONE.  ZERO.   You are in fact, unrighteous, unholy, and sinfully dirty.

That is your situation, (without Christ) and you are born with it.   And so, this is WHY God Himself (Jesus) had to SAVE YOU..    Which means,=  make you acceptable to Himself.

And YOU, YOU........can't do this for yourself.   So, right here, you need to stop trying to be righteous, live holy, and serve God, for the purpose of trying to BE SAVED or STAY SAVED.

You can't do it.  You will never be righteous of yourself, and if you are thinking that anything you can do of yourself, by yourself, is acceptable to God, then you are self-deceived and very self righteous.

Understand, that Salvation is NONE OF YOU, and ALL of God.   So, this eliminates all law-keeping, all commandment keeping, all holy living, that is an EFFORT to try to be ACCEPTED BY GOD< (stay saved or be saved) as this can't happen, and won't.

God does not accept you of yourself. He only accepts the Cross on your BEHALF, and based only on the Cross, He will accept you.

If you are born again, then God did this for you as a Gift, and for no other reason will He accept you, or let you into heaven to be a part of His Holy Family.

So, how did God save you?

There is only one way.   He saved you by giving you His Righteousness as a FREE GIFT,   "the gift of righteousness", and this MADE YOU acceptable to Him, and nothing else can, or will.

And why did God give you His Righteousness?   Because you don't have any.... That's why.

Salvation, is God making you righteous, by the Blood Atonement... by....Jesus becoming sin for you, on the Cross.

Think of it like this...   The Cross is a swap.   Its where God swaps your sin on the Cross,  for the very Righteousness of Himself (Jesus) , and this happens once, and forever, and its a gift, and He does it the moment you trusted Christ. (Born again).

After this, you are to live a life that pleases God, a sanctified sacrificial life, every moment..... but, you are never ever to trust in this lifestyle as the means or method, THINKING or BELIEVING, that God accepts anything you do,  to save you or keep you saved.

Now listen carefully.   If your holy living could save you, then did Jesus have to die for you?    I'll ask you like this......... If there was NO CROSS and NO BLOOD Shed and NO JESUS< then all of your good deeds, commandment keeping, and living right.........what are they?    Can they save you? =    NOPE. = NEVER.

So, you see ?   Its the CROSS that is the Key.  Its Jesus on the Cross that is your Salvation.    Your good works....You can do them and not be saved.... and you can do them and be saved, and they are exactly the same value when it comes to saving you or keeping you saved.  = ZERO.

blessings,

By the same token, we were saved for the purpose of doing good works and so to glorify God.

Eph 2:8  For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,

Eph 2:9  not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Eph 2:10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Just want to reiterate that Behold does not say we are to keep sinning.

Following is the quote by Behold:
