How many months are in the Jewish calendar? 2 What are the names of all the months? 3 How many days are in each month? 4. Do the American Jews honor the Jewish calendar? 5. What are the similarities and differences between the Jewish and calendars of today? 6. Is the end of day on the Jewish calendar always sunset? If so why? 7. Do you or can you as a Christian honor this calendar? If so how do you go about it? If you aren't able to answer all of these answer the ones you can.

Yes, American religious Jews do honour the Jewish Calendar today. 5. The major difference with the Jewish calendars is that they are based on lunar cycles. So the new moon is the first of the month, the full moon is half way through the month etc. Whereas as our "Gregorian" calendars are based upon solar cycles. 6. Yes, the end of the day is sunset. The evening is the start of the new day. I know that might sound a little back to front from how we have learned it in the west! It's based upon the opening verses of Genesis which records the creation days as follows "the evening and the morning were the first/second/thrid etc day". Therefore, from Yahweh's view, the day starts at evening, with sunset. 7. Yes, absolutely. I do. So, in terms of dealing with the world and living life in it, I use the standard gregorian calendar. However, I recognise the beginning of a day being evening and observe the Sabbath from Friday evening to Saturday evening. I also observe the Biblical Feasts according to the Jewish calendar (I purchased a Messianic Jewish Calendar to help with this, and also an app on my phone). On a final note, it's important not to get too caught up on the precision of the calendars as even the Jewish one went through some apparent changes that have made it different from the time of Kind David. Even the names of the months changes whilst Judah were in captivity in Babylon. That said, the moon always stands strong before us to show us how the month is literally progressing. Not with numbers but with phases. These amazing cycles, and that with the sun and stars, where created to be signs of seasons for us, according to Genesis. The universe itself is like God's multi-dimensional clock. Rather than simplistic numbers, the luminaries, stars (and probably even planets) serve as an intricate timepiece for the Creator and man. I hope that helps somewhat. Love & Shalom 3 1

This is truly fascinating, and I never quite pondered on that aspect of it. Thanks for sharing not only this, but the other facts of the Jewish Calendar, brother. God bless! Many events in the past have occurred on these feasts and in the future, look to Yom Kippur and The day of Atonement specifically. The Feast of Trumpets, and the others, are future prophetic events. God never does things by half measure, so you will see that the Seasons (not winter spring summer and fall) have a unique prophetic application. They are reminders and will herald the future, so we'd best get accustomed to them. 1 1

On Saturday morning I attended my first Sabboth Torah Study in my vicinity in lieu of reading various online groups. Experiencing it in person was a blessing! Especially the shema/amidah prayers read in Hebrew and English. We read Korach (3 Tammuz 5779) or 6 Jul.2019 ~ a little bit from Num. 15 & Num. 16:1-18:32 & 1 Sam. 11:14-12:22 Have a lot to learn, but sensed in a very real way that He gave me the desire to be there. And to continue as He leads. 2

What would the point be? Just for fun? I think the Jewish feasts are more important to understand, they run through the whole of Gods plan for humanity as far as I understand it. I think they're like scenes in a theatre play that runs twice, with Gods children as the actors, the first run as Spiritual children, the second run as Spiritual adults before we rejoin our true father at the everlasting after party.
