I'm praying for you all that have that ridiculous heat.

I don't blame you for going swimming @LadyKay When I'm in a part of the country that's hot, all I want to do is go in the sea, or a pool. We were away for a few days this week, and although nowhere near the temperatures you have in the U.S, but it was a pleasant temperature, and I went in the sea for a swim. We're moving there! Yay!

Meanwhile, up here in the north west of Scotland, it has been raining all day, and this evening I have the heating on because we feel cold.

Hi @BeauJangles

Lol. Who me?!

Seriously though, I do really feel for you. I'm not a hot weather person. It must be dreadful, and its also a concern when the temperatures get that high, as our bodies aren't built to deal with that kind of heat.

We need Jesus. Our world hasn't got a moderate climate globally, which is what we need. Sun and warmth, but not the temperatures you're getting. Equally, over here, we get excessive rain and very little sun, which gets me and Graham down. Hence one of the reasons why we're moving, as all the damp affects Graham's arthritis.

You are all in my prayers. I pray that the Lord protects you from the heat and gives you Holy Spirit filled strength so that your body and mind can deal with it.

Aye, you got it.

As I say to Graham when I look out the window; "Oh look, it's raining!"

Oh my, don't they know those metal golf clubs can attract the lightning?!

Metal shafts? And metal cleats?

Yes, well metal can act as a good conductance in an electric storm. I've seen a couple of videos of people getting struck from out of the blue. Shocking experience, it was. :whistling: But on the lighter side, my friend had an uncle who unfortunately got hit by lightening, but thankfully, he did survive the incident. The draw-back was a monkey wrench in his hip pocket, and it left a permanent reminding imprint on his left 'cheek'.

Perhaps I was a little obtuse,  I have not seen metal cleats in a long time, and club shafts are not necessarily made metals anymore.

None the less just being out in lightning is an adventure in higher than advisable risk. As I have shared I have been inside my own home and had no less than three lightning strikes hit it, plus one time while on a Hobie Cat 17 I got lit up really good. when out in the Gulf Coast and a storm forms, one is just in for it. everything just starts to crackle and light up. It makes for some of the most spectacular visuals one will ever experience, least it has been  for me.

Overall I did not much like seeing my home's roof scattered all over the neighborhood. Nor did I enjoy the time a storm caused a surge that smoked all my ceiling fans and blew apart incandescent light bulbs and torched  our "old timey" land line phones. The electric company had to replace all the lines underground to our home. They were just fused together.

So out on a golf course? Why not, good a place as any. Maybe just don't hold the flag for the rest of the foursome at the eleventh High ground green....
