There needs to be a very careful calculation of the strength of nicotine in your patches. It all depends on how many cigarettes you smoke a day. If they gave you too strong of a patch that could cause some significant health problems. Never ever wear the patch while you are sleeping. Only while you are awake. That could cause a heart irregularity and other dangerous side effects. Be very careful taking magnesium pills without consulting a physician and getting lab work done. Go to low tar and nicotine cigarettes. This could take awhile for your body to adjust. 2. Go from the long 100's cigarettes to the shorter kings cigarettes. This also will take awhile for your body to adjust. 3. Wean yourself from the nicotine. Time yourself and have a cigarette every hour. When you are successful with that go to every two hours.
