A good question. One could answer YES and NO. If you read Hebrew scriptures closely, you will see what the early writers called The Second Yahweh. This did NOT compromise their anti-polytheistic belief that He is One God. Look at the furnace, and the 'angel' mentioned. Here 'angel' is a description and not a name (messenger). The pillar of cloud and the fire during the exodus. The burning bush. The mention of Elohim (plural) and many other descriptions of 'one like the son of man' which Yeshua (Jesus) adopted a number of times as a self description in later scriptures. So it is seen in the Hebrew scriptures that Father and Son are apparent. When He sent 'the Comforter' to us in the NT scriptures, this is a description of Holy Spirit. Thus it appears like there are three distinct persons in the Godhead. After the advent of our Lord and into the second century, Jewish writers downplayed their earlier thoughts and were avidly opposed to the Son of God in their later writings. They could not admit they had murdered God, so their writings changed considerably. It is quite confusing to the scholar that does not know the Tanach well. Several of the 'church fathers' were quite opposed to each other's views about this which clouds the issue further. ONE, ONE and ONE is the way I see it. Three, but ONE. God spirit is holy, so its called the Holy Spirit, this is what we feel from God. Jesus prayed to his god to save him.

I hope the writers you are referring to aren't NT writers--would you like verses/sources explaining how the NT writers clearly recognized Jesus as God? Let's look at this a minute, we have God the father, Jesus who is God in the flesh, an God in the Spirit. This is a question that would be difficult to answer, in my opinion. My belief is, yes all are One. But this is my personal interpretation which others may see differently. As I said, tuff question my friend. Just my two bits, JJ
