Jesus freed persons spiritually from oppressive religious traditions. (John 8:31, 32) He invited those who were toiling and loaded down to come to him, to take his yoke upon them, and to become his disciples, for he was mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and they would thus find refreshment for their souls. He said: “My yoke is kindly and my load is light.” (Mt 11:28-30) Christ was not harsh or oppressive but kind, and those coming to him would receive proper treatment. Christ’s yoke, by comparison with that placed upon the people by religious traditionists, would be a comparatively light one. Jesus also  meant that those weary of the burden of sin and error should come to him for spiritual refreshment.  Still, the spiritual cleanness that we Christians must follow are not always easy.  The Apostle Paul warned us of this fact as well:  "Therefore, the way I am running is not aimlessly; the way I am aiming my blows is so as not to be striking the air; but I pummel my body and lead it as a slave, so that after I have preached to others, I myself should not become disapproved somehow" (1 Corinthians 8: 26, 27).

These words seem to capture the meaning well
{snip}(from Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown Commentary)

Matthew 11:30

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matchless paradox, even among the paradoxically couched maxims in which our Lord delights! That rest which the soul experiences when once safe under Christ's wing, makes all yokes easy, all burdens light.

No, I don't believe it's impossible. The Lord commanded us to do it, so let's do it. I don't believe Jews hate Jesus, even if they don't believe he was the Son of God.

Many Jews will not even say His Name aloud .They refer to him as “ that man”.They also hate Paul, as do many Christians......

Jesus told us we have to be perfect (Matt 5:48). That doesn't mean we have to have lived a perfect life. It means we need to repent our sin.

There are two ways to get to Heaven— BE PERFECT or have Perfection Imputed upon you by believing The Gospel and it ALONE.NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD.

When we sin, trouble comes into our lives. I believe that is why the Lord commanded us to repent.

True......we repent to restore a broken fellowship....a broken fellowship will bring sorrow into you life and is not the relationship you want to be in if you expect ready answers for your prayers. Its kinda like hitting the “ Reset” button. It restores a relationship....it does not restore Salvation.....you got that by receiving a free gift...

But of what value is salvation if we have broken our fellowship with the Lord?

Simple to accept Yeshua, living for Him not so easy. He warned us it would not be easy, but comforted us with over coming the world and told us we could do the same.

A walk of Faith can be “challenging”sometimes...... but at least it is possible .The task of trying to “ perform” to merit Righteousness before a Holy God , is not only “ not easy”—- it is impossible .Some need to give up trying and start trusting.
