That side of the coin and a discussion of such, is a big discussion.

I think differently on the issue than some do.

Predestination is taught from Genesis all the way to the last chapter. God has chosen men, women and nations.

I ask my question from a thread I started. Did Lazarus have a choice?

That is precisely what happened to me!

:-)

Hi brother. I saw that post and I think I replied to it also. The point regarding Lazarus is a perfect example. Thanks again.??

Greetings,

i have never understood the concept or principles of predestination, it is to overwhelming for me to comprehend and understand its context.

But taking up your cross and walking with Jesus is just 1 day at a time and that is more than enough for me to overcome.

I'm currently reading a book called "Beyond the Cosmos: The Transdimensionality of God" by Dr. Hugh Ross. It offers some great insight into many of the paradoxes of the Christian faith, predestination vs. free will being one of them. You might be interested in seeing what Dr. Ross has to say about the issue.

And I don't find it a particularly tough question to answer ;), even amidst so many different opinions. It might be helpful to understand the Bible says very about those left without a choice to be [God's]. No one is without a choice. Being without a choice is NOT predestination. According to the Westminster Confession of Faith God ordained all things from eternity.....

In a nutshell this.^^^^^^

NO ONE is without a choice. The very term predestination makes it seem choice has been removed. If I PRE determine for my son his education, he wasn't given a choice. However he can still change his mind and go against my choice for him.

Seems to be a really tough question.  So many different opinions.

I am always concerned about those left out without a choice to be Gods.

I used to believe firmly in predestination, then God changed my mind for me, as He'd planned to do.

i watched How Science Reveals God's Trans-Dimensional Power by Hugh Ross on you tube but after the first 5-10 mins but it was to academic and theological for me i just like plain and simple explanations. But thank you for the reference.
