How often do you fix your thoughts on how life will be in heaven and the responsibilities you will be given because of your faithfulness while you were here on earth? The apostle Paul said " Be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil Ephesians 5: 15-16. Learning to manage your time in a way that honors Christ comes down to a matter of discipline and wisdom. Refuse to yield to the pressures around you. Focus your life on what really matters which is Jesus Christ. 1 1 2 1

I try not to, as I believe it can be a terror to dwell on eternity past, or future. My finite brain, only forty megabites, goes into overload, looking too deep. But, I do think of that day before God, standing in line, waiting my turn, thinking, "If I had only known" Well, this is the day, to sow seeds, to store up the sheaves, to be a blessing. Move thoughts into action, but by abiding, not works for God, but God working through me. Not I but Christ............. 1

I have spent a great deal of time asking Him what eternity will be like... If He was strengthened to endure the suffering required to get there I think we can be too. And what He has revealed has not only strengthened me but produced a real hunger to engage His process of transformation here and now so I can enjoy ALL of what His sacrifice has made available. 1 1

If we rely on imagination and our own mental prowess instead of the Teacher's revelation of His Word, the outcome is predictable. There is an alternative: Quote Jer 33:3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' He truly loves to reveal ....all it takes is a listening ear willing to ask. 2

It is speculative. It involves imagination. And the bible does not testify to the need of an imagination....since we do have access to the spiritual realm. Of course we can ponder the things of the Lord. But that's still not having an eternal perspective. But if we are abiding in Christ we have a view from where He is in an eternal place. From that place we look here to earth. Then we can have a true eternal perspective. So we have access to this grace by faith. 1

How often do you fix your thoughts on how life will be in heaven Hi missmuffet, I don't think much about how life will be like in heaven, since we will be there only a very short time. But life in the millennium, well that's a whole other thing. I think about how life will be here on earth for the 1000 years we will be here. How it will be like having Jesus here with us. All the projects we can be doing for 1000 years, all the building, beautifying, landscaping etc. I know what I have done in the few short years.....imagine 1000 years....with a body that doesn't get tired or ache. Just imagine.....
