I’m really fascinated by this topic as it concerns the Elect and predestination. I’d love to get approved so that I could post some essays in Soteriology and get some responses on them. I’d just like to know if I’m on the right track! Thanks!

Actually, both sides of this argument use the Scriptures out of context.  Neither view is what the Bible teaches.

Wow, thank you for the enthusiastic responses! I just posted some theology about which I’ve done a lot of research - I’m not trying to kidnap the welcome section! Thank you all for being so friendly. I’ll try to put my posts where they belong next time! (:

Welcome, Leia.  This topic usually ends in accusations of false teaching and name calling, so it is closed down.  I hope that this won't keep stirring the pot.  However, you have every right to ask honest questions.

Wow, that’s complicated. I’m just offering some discourse about certain soteriological subjects about which I’ve done research. Nobody needs to agree with me. I’m not easily offended. I just like to explore hermeneutics and exegesis/eisegesis and I don’t mean anything other than honest conjecture.

You are welcome to do so.  I have learned much from being challenged and studying the Scriptures on these subjects, and am still studying and learning.  Omegaman is an excellent teacher and has taught me much, even though I have disagreed with him.  We search the Scriptures to see if these things are so when we are teachable.  In one of the subjects at the top of the soteriology forum Omegaman lists scripture pro and con that I highly recommend reading.  Blessings.

You have been moved to the theology section so I am eager to see what you have studied and learned.
