Jesus had asked him, Peter, do you agape me? Peter answered him twice, I phileo you Lord. He had just denied the Lord three times, and he knew his own human weakness and limitations. But here Peter is saying, yes, you phileo your brothers but you have been born of God now and His love lives in you. No wonder Paul cries out : so Great a salvation.
