He likes to point to his accomplishments, but he almost has to, because the mainstream media seems to want to put him in the worst possible light. I think both John the Baptist and Donald Trump have shown disdain for people in high places who act selfishly.

Notice though in scriptures John's humbleness. Mark 1:7 7And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. Matthew 3:11 11I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: John 1:27 27He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose. What can you do when the mainstream media is trying to destroy your presidency? Would you handle it any differently?

If they speak of faith in Jesus that's a good start, but it's also important to look at their policies and voting history as a whole. All too often we have politicians who profess Christianity but endorse laws and policies that are a far cry from Scripture.

It's done wonders in the rather distant past. Edited August 19, 2019 by BeauJangles

They go where the money is. If bashing him sells papers, they will bash him.

If I ever hear of Trump in a five star restaurant ordering Melania a bowl of locusts with a side of honey; I'll start looking for similarities But seriously, I don't see Trump as a forerunner of anything, with the possible exception of; his work on the Israeli peace process. I'm thinking this could be a forerunner of the one the Antichrist confirms or parts of it. I'm thinking the "Temple" being rebuilt will be the key to everything? I think the Bible is pretty clear there will never be a two state solution. Edited August 19, 2019 by Dennis1209

In fact, look at David. Edited August 19, 2019 by Still Alive
