Btw.....please do not say that we must take the Words of Jesus over the Words Of Paul. All Scripture was inspired by the Holy Spirit.

I have posted from all  of the Gospels, to say otherwise is a lie. Christ Jesus never preached that its  ok to lie, that its  ok to lust after other women/men,   When we come to Christ we acknowledge we are sinners and desire to repent, yes turn to God and turn away from our sins and place our sins at the foot of the cross so that they can die there by the covering Blood of Christ Jesus and begin the process of becoming His New creation, being born new of His Holy Spirit and dying to our flesh.  You preach its not important to repent=ask God for forgiveness of our sins, and ask Him to help us overcome our sins and that all we have to do is just have faith in Him and that is all. Well part of having faith in Him is first recognizing that we all are sinners in need of a Savior, and have a desire to turn away from our sins through Him who gives liberally to ALL who ask. Christ desires that when we come to Him, that we develop an ongoing relationship with Him, And repenting=asking for forgiveness of our sins and to be delivered from evil is what Christ teaches. He teaches us to pray ask Him Matth ch 6:9-13. Anyone preaching otherwise is preaching A FALSE GOSPEL.

Jesus Commands Repentance

Jesus himself made it clear that repentance is key, urging people to turn to God to ask for forgiveness for their sins:

“From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” - Matthew 4:17

Like Jesus, John the Baptist also warned that the end was drawing nearer and that it was, thus, essential to repent:

“In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.’” - Matthew 3:1-3

Repent, Don’t Hide Sins

The Bible also speaks of the importance of not hiding one’s sins, noting that an admission of wrongdoing can help people find “mercy.”

“Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.” - Proverbs 28:13

“I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” - Luke 15:7

Repentance Leads to Wiping Away of Sins

By admitting one’s sins and repenting, it is possible to be spiritually refreshed and rejuvenated.

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” - Acts 3:19

“Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth.” - 2 Timothy 2:25

“But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?” - Ezekiel 18:21-23

A Failure to Repent IS Damaging

According to the Bible, there are consequences to refusing to repent one’s sins.

Here is what Paul has to say:

“But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.” - Romans 2:5

“But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” - Luke 13:3

God is Faithful and Just

Repentance and, in turn, forgiveness, show God’s love for us through His willingness to purify us from our poor choices and sins.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” - 1 John 1:9

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” - 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)

2 Peter 2

1 False prophets appeared in the past among the people, and in the same way false teachers will appear among you. They will bring in destructive, untrue doctrines, and will deny the Master who redeemed them, and so they will bring upon themselves sudden destruction.
2 Even so, many will follow their immoral ways; and because of what they do, others will speak evil of the Way of truth.
3 In their greed these false teachers will make a profit out of telling you made-up stories. For a long time now their Judge has been ready, and their Destroyer has been wide awake!
4 God did not spare the angels who sinned, but threw them into hell, where they are kept chained in darkness, waiting for the Day of Judgment.
5 God did not spare the ancient world, but brought the flood on the world of godless people; the only ones he saved were Noah, who preached righteousness, and seven other people.
6 God condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, destroying them with fire, and made them an example of what will happen to the godless.
7 He rescued Lot, a good man, who was distressed by the immoral conduct of lawless people.
8 That good man lived among them, and day after day he suffered agony as he saw and heard their evil actions.
9 And so the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials and how to keep the wicked under punishment for the Day of Judgment,
10 especially those who follow their filthy bodily lusts and despise God's authority. These false teachers are bold and arrogant, and show no respect for the glorious beings above; instead, they insult them.
11 Even the angels, who are so much stronger and mightier than these false teachers, do not accuse them with insults in the presence of the Lord.
12 But these people act by instinct, like wild animals born to be captured and killed; they attack with insults anything they do not understand. They will be destroyed like wild animals,
13 and they will be paid with suffering for the suffering they have caused. Pleasure for them is to do anything in broad daylight that will satisfy their bodily appetites; they are a shame and a disgrace as they join you in your meals, all the while enjoying their deceitful ways!
14 They want to look for nothing but the chance to commit adultery; their appetite for sin is never satisfied. They lead weak people into a trap. Their hearts are trained to be greedy. They are under God's curse!
15 They have left the straight path and have lost their way; they have followed the path taken by Balaam son of Beor, who loved the money he would get for doing wrong
16 and was rebuked for his sin. His donkey spoke with a human voice and stopped the prophet's insane action.
17 These people are like dried-up springs, like clouds blown along by a storm; God has reserved a place for them in the deepest darkness.
18 They make proud and stupid statements, and use immoral bodily lusts to trap those who are just beginning to escape from among people who live in error.
19 They promise them freedom while they themselves are slaves of destructive habits - for we are slaves of anything that has conquered us.
20 If people have escaped from the corrupting forces of the world through their knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and then are again caught and conquered by them, such people are in worse condition at the end than they were at the beginning.
21 It would have been much better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than to know it and then turn away from the sacred command that was given them.
22 What happened to them shows that the proverbs are true: "A dog goes back to what it has vomited" and "A pig that has been washed goes back to roll in the mud."

Please, with all due respect....avoid using “ Scripture Walls” I won’t  read them and I suspect many others avoid them also....You could be writing with the Wisdom of Solomon and it would all go to waste.....lol

You are correct when you say  “ repentance is the key”.You have to undergo a “ mind change” (metanoia ) That results in you going from an Unbeliever in Jesus to a Believer in Jesus.Whatever got you to that point was the thing that saved you .You “ turned to God with faith in Christ Jesus”..... the rest is “ icing on the cake” as far as Salvation is concerned. “ Turn to me ( repentance ) and I will turn to you”. Simple as that.God makes a Promise.....You Believe it....that is faith. Grace through Faith is what saves. I have more to say , but that will have to do for now.....gotta pick up some meds for my wife......later3
