I guess ultimately it's really about who is going to be with Christ forever and who is not I'm sure we would agree on that.

" There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."  (Ephesians 4:4-6)

Yes there is one Body, the Body of Christ, however there is still Israel and the Gentiles, they will all have a place under Christ in God`s great kingdom.

Hi Dennis,

Yes they were saved by faith, however faith in what God promised them. (Note we are all saved BECAUSE of Jesus). They have been promised  a different inheritance than us.

Agreed. I was mainly talking about eternal life and not damnation. Yes, no doubt they had faith in what God promised them and their descendants; but that faith back then is the same as today, they had to have 'saving faith' in the one true living God. Their sin and atonement was temporarily covered by sacrifices until the once and for all sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross.

Yep, the Jew's have yet future promises and an inheritance coming.

I don`t think they died. God just took them, alive, as in Elijah and Moses.

I was thinking in terms of Lazarus, whom Jesus resurrected and others...

Ok. You`re right. Much to think on there. I also love thinking on the details of God`s word. And great to discuss with you.
