Wow, I don't even know what happened but I just did the "quote" thing and I'm guessing somehow I did something that attributed it to the wrong person? Not sure what and not even sure how to know who I'm quoting other than the person whose profile shows.

You likely quoted a quote within a post. When I do that  the quote appears for me but is attributed to the poster of the quote, not the person being quoted by that poster. I find I do that often, poor missmuffet often gets all upset that I am attributing things to her that she never said. Can't blame her.She quotes something interesting I grab on to it quote it from her post and it comes out on mine showing she wrote it. I am learning to go back to the original post and to quote that  not someone's posting of a quote.

Who's on first?

In regards to Catholic or Protestant beliefs --

I quote the following from   differencebetween.net :

"The central focus of the Baptist Church is salvation through faith in God alone, whereas the Catholics believe in the same plus the belief in the Holy sacraments as the way to salvation."

If someone doesn't participate / complete the sacraments, are they not saved in the eyes of Catholic religion?

Perhaps I missed it in my 1611 KJV Bible?

Paying big bucks to a church for indulgences to get out of purgatory faster. Confessing my sins to a priest to forgive my sins and what I should do for repentance. Sacrificing Jesus daily (the Eucharist) because once wasn't enough, and the bread and wine are literal flesh and blood, not in remembrance. Last rites, praying to dead Saints for intercession and the mother of Jesus; bowing before, kissing the hand of the vicar of Christ; the Vatican holy father. There's only one that is Holy; in fact, that's the only attribute of God that is mentioned three times for emphasis, in two different places [Isa. 6:3, Rev. 4:8].

For centuries not allowing the commoner to own their own Bible. Reading "mass" in Latin so no one would understand and giving their own doctrine and interpretation. I won't even mention those millions of heretic real Christian's tortured and slaughtered in the name of the Roman Catholic Church. The Vatican is richer than many nations and are in need of nothing. Seems I read something like that in the book of Revelation?

Catholicism is a religion, a religion is man's terms to reach God with the traditions of men. Christianity is not a religion; it's a faith in Jesus Christ and He is whom He says He is, and will do what He said He will do, when He said He would do it.

I'm by no means Catholic bashing; I just don't find their doctrines, belief's and practices in my Bible. That begs the question: Both can not be right and acceptable to the Lord...

I have thought many of these same practices by the Catholic church to be so ritualistic. Even someone (such as my husband) raised in a Catholic home, grade school at Catholic school, and taught to follow all the sacraments, may see the overpowering nature of the Catholic religion. He says (about Catholic religion) "it is a cult of sorts". (his words, not mine).

I can’t think of any catholic person that I dislike.....usually they are great people. It’s their Doctrine that I hate. It’s straight from Hell. The singular belief in Purgatory spits on the Blood Of Christ and proves that any proponent of it is absolutely clueless about Christianity.Research it . I did.It made me want to cry and vomit at the same time.Pure,Satanic, Blasphemy.

You're exactly right, they're people just like you and I that are being lead astray, they need to hear the saving Grace and free gift of Salvation through Christ alone.

I don't want to spend a lot of time on this subject but, currently Catholicism is the worlds largest religion with 1.6 billion followers, closely followed by Islam with 1.4 billion. Have you noticed everything that is prophetically lining up for a one world religious system as described in the book of Revelation? With the current Pope Francis (a Jesuit) and the Vatican taking charge at full steam? A one world government (political system) and one world religious system (church / state) is lining up and taking shape as we speak; just as in the days of what Constantine did in the third century. The RCC has always called itself 'the one true church'.

You know the definition of the word 'ecumenicism' and its role for a one world religion. The universal church (Catholicism) has drawn back some of the protester (Protestant) denominations back under its umbrella. Pope Francis and the Vatican has been fervently at work with a movement for better cooperation and understanding between all the worlds religions. He has made many bizarre statements such as; we all worship the same god with different names and so much more. He has signed 'covenant' agreements with sects of Islam for better cooperation, unity and understanding.

I'm not going to write a book on it, but I see the handwriting on the wall and the pieces falling into place, and it's speeding up.

If the False Profit or his precursor were alive and well today, what would they be doing preparing the way?

Just my personal thoughts...

P.S. This Pope is a socialist to the core, only concerned with ecumenicism, global warming and the disparity between the have's and have not's. Of all I've heard coming out of his mouth, not one peep about soul saving or Salvation.

The catholics have seven steps ( give or take a step or two) to “ earn” their Salvation. The Bible only gives one. The Gospel Of 1cor15:1-4.Paul says if you preach a different Gospel Than the one given to him by Jesus you will go to Hell  ( did you here that, pope ) If you believe this false gospel ,you are “ fallen from Grace” and “ severed from the Cross”—- this is the current condition of all of those who buy into their “ works” Salvation Formula. They are not alone, of course.....millions of Protestants add to the Gospel Of Grace with variations of “Jesus Saves... B U T.” Give the catholics credit for this much—- they don’t try to hide their damnable doctrines— their false teachings are out there in th open. They are on record as to letting you know that if you disagree with them you are damned. It is in their Cathecism.Available for the World to see.Anytime.The catholics should be seen as a Mission Field, no different than any other group that needs to hear and believe the true Gospel Of Jesus Plus Nothing.
